Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.
Your photos and memories are far too important to keep in a box, store on a computer or bury in a pile. We know life is busy and at times it feels nearly impossible to keep up with all of life's demands - yet alone find time for the things you enjoy like your scrapbook hobby and preserving your memories.
If you're overwhelmed with too many photos...
If you're feeling guilty for not being "caught up"...
If you're overloaded with creative pressure and unrealistic expectations...
If you're stressed because you don't have enough time to scrapbook...

If you're frustrated with the process of traditional scrapbooking...
If you're looking for a better way...
Then you will love our simple and refreshing approach to scrapbooking!

Our Life Documented kit allows you to share your story in a whole new way, while getting back to the basics of what scrapbooking is all about...your photos and memories. We've done all the work for you with our exclusive Simple Stories system - with beautiful pre-designed elements that you simply trim, add your journaling and then insert into pockets - along with your 4x6 photos - for quick and easy scrapbooking. No cropping. No adhesive. No stress. It's as easy as that - sharing your photos and memories has never been easier!

My word for 2010 is CHOICE. My first action was to make a cute piece of desk art for my computer/scrapbook table. I drew out my favorite quote "Happiness is a Choice" and put it in a frame. It's a cute and quick little daily reminder. Thanks for the fun giveaways Ali! Keeping my fingers crossed! Happy New Year.

I guess the odds are against winning with 975 already commenting, but I will give it a go. I do not do resolutions. I think the cliche of them makes them less important. I do try to set goals, at different times through the year I do this, the beginning of the year is one of those times. My one goal is to get myself better organized. I have the word "organize" in very large letters on my bulletin board to remind me. I am already making lists for things I would like to do. The Simple Stories would be perfect for that. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

My word for this year is 'mail art'. I've been making envelopes from old calendars, doodling, collaging, old illustrated childrens books, etc etc. I usually send mail art from time to time, but this year I'm planning on sending it ALL the time. Hopefully it will bring a smile to the postal workers and recipients face! Should be fun!

My word would be change. After two years with lots of health issues I hope this year can be the one I will start feeling better and being more the real me. Hope to be not so tired all the time and getting everything back on track again; cleaning/decluttering the house, finally get some scrapping done, eating more healthy and starting to execise, and so on. Bye Irene

My word is "explore." I plan to take at least 2 trips to Colorado this year, at least one (and maybe three!) to Texas, some to Virginia, Florida, and other closer places. I also plan to try new things -- like teaching quilting classes (three on the schedule between now and July, plus a lecture to a quilt guild!), designing some of my own quilts, and selling some of the things I've made on etsy. Hopefully I'll have a year of exciting growth. :)

Awesome giveaways!
My word is Simplify. I am reading a book called The Simple Life. My kids are 6, 4 and 3 and I want to spend this year enjoying them and not too many activities, so we are going SIMPLE in my home. And I am committed to simplifying my home by decluttering a different room or area each week.

My word is PEACE. 2009 was one of the hardest years I've had. I know it has to start on the inside with me first. I'm setting specific goals this year. I'm writing them down and keeping them close out in the open where I can see them often.

My word is REST. 2009 was a very busy, challenging year. I don't know what 2010 holds but I am determined to find REST, no matter what comes. Even in the busyness and chaos of life, a soul can find peace and rest.

My workplace is going through a lot of corporate change...some of them just don't make sense, so I am working on the words from the song sung by Michael Buble
"I'm Feeling Good"
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good
I am GOING TO MAKE it through the changes...and feel good!
