Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

During 2009, I explored GRACE, and found that I have much to learn/unlearn. With that still in mind, I am choosing CHANNEL for this year - as in "make me a channel of your peace, etc. . . . " (St Francis of Assisi)

I am still mulling over my word. I have several but I need to make a decision and then commit to it and finally put it into action. The funny part is that I have the actions thought about for many of the words I just have to think about which words is going to be THE ONE.

I've been kicking around a lot of words to use as my one word. At this very moment it's "focus". Focus as much as possible on those things that really matter and let some of the other stuff...just go.

My word this year is SIMPLIFY. I see it as applying to many things in my life. I want to simplify my life by not purchasing so many things that I really don't need. I want to simplify the things in my house and reduce the clutter. Those are just two ways to start applying my word. I think that will keep me busy for awhile. Thanks Ali!!

My word is peace. We are definitely not there at the moment, but I am working on controlling my reactions to stress. I have to thank you for the link to Christine Kane's website as well. She has so many resources there that look like just what I need right now. Reading some of it changed my thinking on being creative. I have been so frustrated at not having time to scrapbook or be creative in other ways, but she talks about being creative by taking steps to create the life you want or the word you choose. Just that idea by itself has so much power.

Hi Ali,
My word this year is Embrace. I am trying to embrace this time in my life, all the good and bad that comes with it, and not let it pass me by.

My 2010 word(s) are NO EXCUSES! For example exercising on a day when I can come up with plenty of excuses to not do so. Or read that book even when I can think of other things to do.

my word is ME....learning to become me after becoming the widow of an USAF solider. I have been his wife for so long. It was very difficult to figure out who I was again and how to support and depend on myself. Being mommy and daddy has been a feat in itself!

I've not made a final decision on my word - two are vying for the spot. One is health - and it's something I need to work on. The other is simplify. It's something I've been thinking about and feeling the need to do. This weekend, I'll be gathering together a huge amount of clothes and other household things to be donated. They will be picked up Monday morning, and with them gone, I will be on my way to less possessions and clutter. I feel lighter already!

My word this year is Thankful. I was mulling over a few words, when my daughter said how thankful she was for everything she got for Christmas. It really started me thinking how much we have to be thankful for. I think it will be good to spend the year focusing on all the big and little things we are thankful for. It will also be good to focus on the people we are thankful for and to let them know that they are an important part of our lives.

I will probably frame my word for the year at my kitchen sink, so I can e reminded everyday of my goal. I am thinking my word will be self discipline...I am needing it right now and it will make me feel so much better.

Hey Allie...that's for the motivation here. My word for the year is ENJOY..to enjoy and appreciate what I already have: my family, my health, my church...everything! There are just too many things out there that makes us want to wish more and more, not realizing that we are already wealthy with the things we already have. Thanks for giving this challenge, because it made me realize how fortunate I already am.

I have chosen "Healing" for 2010 and thanks to the tool you posted from Christine Kane and have lots of ideas for execution. I will be proactively delving into the world of stress relief through things like massage, deep breathing and yoga. I am rather excited about this journey!

One of my goals for the year is to finish all those lingering projects that we never seem to get around to. Today we finished painting a room we bought the paint for two months ago!
