Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

So at the last minute I changed my word from 'balance' to 'time'. Time is more specific to the things I want to focus on. Today i spent the morning going through our calendar with my husband and setting aside specific time that we will spend at home getting things done around the house. We also want to make sure that we remember to schedule time for us as a family and not spend every weekend running around.

My word for the year is organize. I look around me and all the spaces in my life feel unorganized and chaotic. Since I know that when I have an organized life I feel more relaxed I really need to focus on this! I'm looking forward to 2010 and the new decade. The last one was very difficult in so many ways. So here's to new beginnings!

My word is CHANGE. I am going to start with the easy stuff - changing a few things around the house which have cluttered up my brain for a year! Then will come the harder stuff - whenever I begin to procrastinate about work matters or making that phone call that must be made, I'm going to say my word - "CHANGE" - and just get in there and do it! I think this one little word could lead to other words appearing in my life like 'calm' and 'wealth' and 'sleep' and 'peace' and 'joy'.

My word for this year is "Persist." Too often I quit when things get too difficult. This year, I am going to take better of myself - health, creativity, etc. I have a wristband that says "Failure is not an option" that I will be wearing every day to remind me to persist.

I am trying to figure out what my word should be. This last week was the first that I had heard of this idea and I truly love it. The word NEST has come up several times since I saw it on a pillow in Pottery Barn on Thursday that I fell in love with. The definition on the pillow was- A place to relax. I want to create a home for my family that feels safe and secure, and relaxing as a nest. So that is one word that in in the running.

My word is Cherish. I am planing to buy a wooden word and find a place to hang it where I will see it everyday. The aim is to remind me to Cherish the everyday things I get to experience as a Mum. To try and move past the little annoying things and focus on the special ones. We have a friend with a terminal brain tumor and she won't always be here to have those moments, so I want to focus on Cherising mine, and most importantly the time we have with her.

My word is TIME. I've always struggled with completion, even for the most minute of details (putting towels back on the bar after the shower, for instance). I've been practicing this for a couple weeks and it's definitely making for a more peaceful hosue & a more peaceful me.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2009 had its fair share of joy (married in June) and sorrow (miscarried in December). my word for 2010 is TRUST...trust in yourself, your family & friends, your husband, and God.
A group of friends and I have started up a circle journal with each other where we will attempt to document our one little word and how it plays a part in our daily lives.

My word for the year is HEALTH. I exercise rarely, so today I went to the YMCA and took 3 mini classes in new areas, yoga, dance, and cycling. It was fun and I'm psyched to go again.
