Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

My word is "NOW"...I tend to procrastinate and put things off,(especially unpleasant things), so this word will help me focus, get moving, and do it NOW!

I give myself a little time and wait until my birthday (it's on the 26th) to settle on my word. Right now, I am vacillating between document and beauty, and hoping to find a word that encompasses the two areas that I would like grow in this year. So right now I'm still reflecting on the past year and flipping through the thesaurus, confident that the right word will hit me at the right time.

My word of the year is JOY. I'm cultivating a positive attitude by being more aware and mindful of negative thoughts coming into my head and squashing them down with positive ones. :)

I think I'm sticking with the word "simplify". I've been too occupied with getting a lot of stuff and I just want to get away from that mindset, be happy with what I have. Part of that will be limiting the things that I'll buy in the future and also, forcing myself to take a step back and not get caught up in all the details but just let it be.

My word of the year is WORD...as in *I'd like to read more words*Get deeper into the word of God*guard my own words more carefully*guard against the words of others I choose to be around*use words more in my writing and my scrapbooking*
My action step is to make my usual WORD OF THE YEAR sign for my office and also to order a candle from Etsy that will say WORD...then I can light that candle each night as I read in bed.

My word this year is COMPLETE. I have lots of great ideas, but I really need to work to completion. So I'm starting with smaller goals to turn into habits.

i am not totally sure, but i think my word is going to be INVOLVED. i want to really get involved in things--not just watch things as they happen. i am going to do things wholeheartedly and not just enough to get by.

My word is FOCUS. As in focusing on the true me, the me that sometimes gets lost in the daily dealing of life, long hours at work and time dished out to families. I want to focus on improving my health, as a former active duty Marine, it's hard for me to know I can no long be that kind of active and healthly. My body has taken many tolls, but focusing on getting healthier to keep from taking more and more medication would be a tremendeous goal for me.

I'm changing my word - as I was falling asleep the other night - I had the thought "Prepare. Prepare needs to be your focus this year." This has to be a God moment. I am not someone who "prepares". I make lists and then at the last minute, I frantically search for my list and then scramble to complete whatever it is I should have prepared for. I'm excited to see what lessons I will learn this year.
Thanks for encouraing me to stop & thing about this whole concept.

Haven't picked a word for this year, but I would like to be more intentional with my girls - spending time with them instead of being on the computer, etc. Which means that I probably better get off my behind right now! :-)

My word this year is HOME. My family has moved into a new home that needs lots of work. We will be improving the house over the year and I have a goal to enrich my young family and strengthen the bonds between us. I want to instill in my three young daughters a sense of home and all that that gives a person.

I'm going to FOCUS on one thing at a time, on what I'm supposed to be doing, on finishing my last 6months at university, on finding a job and a career path. Today is the start of cleaning up and finishing each project so I can FOCUS on the new stuff instead of having lots of things lying around distracting me.

My word is savor. With expecting a new little one this spring, I know it is the end of just me and my husband being a family. I really need to savor each moment I get him to myself. I need to savor the flexable schedule I have now, sleeping in, time for me, and so on....because I will not have those moments again for a long time! Also, savor every moment of being pregnant-both good and bad, and document every experience that goes along with it.

My word this year is focus...focus on what truly matters - my family and my students- and letting other silly stuff go.
Your word of the year is really inspiring me to journal more...my last 2 layouts (done yesterday) have contained several sentences of journaling to my beautiful daughter! Thanks.
Crossing my fingers on the giveaways.

Oh fabulous give aways ali!
I have a goal this year to continue with my 2009 simplification/organisation of things at home, and in the last two days I have rearranged and sorted out my crafting area.
It feels SO good to have everything neat and tidy - I am inspired to get creating again, and branch out into sewing and making things using fabric! I am hopeful I can continue this on to the main clutter I have left - sentimental and "I might use it one day" stuff, but I have my positive thinking cap on that I can get those areas sorted too!
Happy new year to you too!

if my post shows up twice, i'm sorry.
i think my word is going to be INVOLVED. i want to really be involved in things going on around me and not just sit and watch because i don't want to expend the time, energy, etc. to do something.
