Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.
Your photos and memories are far too important to keep in a box, store on a computer or bury in a pile. We know life is busy and at times it feels nearly impossible to keep up with all of life's demands - yet alone find time for the things you enjoy like your scrapbook hobby and preserving your memories.
If you're overwhelmed with too many photos...

Happy New Year to all, especially the winners of the first 2010 giveaways!!! Thanks Ali!! This was my first year to 'December Daily' or countdown to Christmas!! The whole family loved the documentation. My teenage son asked on several days if we "took a picture yet". Thanks so much!!

I have choosen two words: Success and Beauty. I desire to experience success in all that I set out to do this year. That may look different for each task, but the experience needs to be successful, in my mind. I felt like I had failed in so many incidences in 2009, so I am turning that around in 2010, to feel successful. I am looking up definitions for success in a broad array of sources and posting them around my house, where I will see them throughout the day. My second word is Beauty, and that can be defined many ways too. I will post those in a scrapbook, with collaging pictures that represent beauty to me. Thanks for the giveaways Ali - all interesting to investigate.

HEALTH is my word and I am acting on that by making oatmeal for the family for breakfast, taking my vitamins and vit. C/wheat germ oil cocktail and seeing that my family did the same. Will bundle up a walk a little later.

My word this year is "reduce". I need to not only reduce the personal clutter in my life and that of my family but to simplify the way I go about things, to learn to say No when I have too much on my current list of to-do's, to take stock of what is around me and enjoy what is there without the added pressure of feeling I need to perform in a certain way or stressing over things that are beyond my control. There's a great deal of things to reduce in 2010.

My word this year is AWARE. I'm challenging myself to become more aware of my surroundings, of my friends, of my health, of my time. We all tend to get in ruts and life just passes us by. I want to make a difference this year.

I thought I posted something, but I don't think it went through. I've enjoyed seeing what word others are picking. Very inspiring. Was going to go with "grow" or "learn," but thinking I could use a little more "joy" in my life (or at least focus more on the joy that is already there!). Thanks for the inspiration!

I think my word is acceptance. I have been working on accepting myself and life the way it is rather than the way I wish it would be. Jessica Stoops

I have not really used a Word of the Year but have been thinking about it a lot lately. Things are tough at home with my husband and 2 sons. I really want to concentrate on FAMILY this year so that will be my word.

My word for 2010 is FLOURISH. I feel like I have been neglecting areas of my life in the past few months that not only impact me but the people I love and care for. I plan to do some thinking and praying this weekend to identify one step I can take in each area (my health, spiritual and creative growth) so that I might flourish in the coming year and have a positive impact on others.

My word is BALANCE. I am going to work hard to get rid of my tendency to go to extremes, be it with my health, my work, my relationships.

What am I already doing? I'm already thinking about various things on my horizon and what will I intentionally do and not do. What really has meaning?

My word for this year is Giving. I want to give more of myself, to come out of my shell more in 2010.To be honest with myself and with others.
I've been brainstorming about having a crop to support a summer camp in South Africa that a friend of mine helps to run!
Thanks Ali!

One of my resolutions for the year is to spend a bit of time early each morning doing a daily reading from the book, "Simple Abundance" and also a Bible reading.

My word for 2010 is STOP! I often am my own worst enemy because I stop my self from doing things....so this year I plan to STOP being afraid to try new things, STOP being afraid of rejection, STOP procrasinating, STOP Spending on needless things AND STOP letting the years pass-by without accomplishing what I know I can if I would just START....

My goal this year is to focus on making our house the welcoming home that we both want, so I'm going to devote time each day to making changes to make that happen!
