Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.

My word is ENJOY. I'm living here for 2y6mo and I've learned to enjoy everyday as it was the last, because I never know when its time to go back to my country (I love living here...). No room for depression, sadness, regrets. Just trying to be happy, one day at a time. And doing things that makes me enjoy everyday, even if it is organizing my stuff, scrapbooking, relaxing, telling stories, focusing on something.

I have two related words for this year - faith and trust. I hope that this is manifested in many ways - one of them being praying more.

My word for the year is PRAY. My goal is to become a prayer warrior like I used to be. I feel over the last year, that although I truly believe in Christ that I have lost that special relationship with HIM. So, my goal/action is to become that pray warrior and get that relationship back. I not only NEED HIM but I WANT HIM. So my action is to do like I did when I really first realized that being a christian isn't about religion, but rather a RELATIONSHIP and that is to journal all my prayers.
as a side note, I hope this doesn't get me disqualified if this posts twice, because according to my computer it didn't post the first time.

My word this year is FREINDSHIP....with my busy life I have neglected spending time with friends just for the sake of hanging out. FRIENDSHIP takes time and work and I must dedicate the time to nurture the many friendships that God has blessed me with.

My word is DISCOVERY. I'm working through Christine Kane's discovery tool and it's fascinating! One concrete step I'm taking toward discovery is: questioning myself and my actions.

My personal resolution is to be less stressed and enjoy the moments instead of trying to get everything done. I am a achiever so it's hard for me to step down but life is giving me signs to slow down. I think the word BALANCE and HARMONY fits in for me. Happy New Year!

My word is "Progress." I will grow more into the creative person God made me to be this year. I will grow closer to my daughters as they mature. I will progress in my relationship with God. And I will grow in my relationship with my husband. All this will define the "Progress" in my life.
Thanks for this opportunity!
Blessings,
Cynthia

My word this year is discipline. Not typically considered a fun or exciting word, but one I need to get back to, because being disciplined allows me to feel proud of giving my very best instead of only half effort in what I do. Knowing I'm doing my best is definitely fun and exciting for me! I am doing two things to help with my word. I got a book with space for me to write things down - memories, what I have spent, what I have eaten, etc. to hold myself accountable. I have also gotten a One Year Bible. It has been a goal of mine since I graduated from college to read the entire Bible, and I still haven't done it. Part of being disciplined, for me, is focusing on what is essential, which is reading what is most important to me.

My word this year is ATTITUDE. My word came after reading a book on Choice by John Maxwell. He states, "Your ATTITUDES determine actions. You are not what you think you are. What you think, you are". Among a few of my promises to myself; Learn from my mistakes and let them go... I can then focus on the present and to take time for physical rest, spiritual reflection, and relaxing recreation so I can think clearly and energetically.
Life is ten percent what we make it; ninety percent how we take it

My word for 2010 is PAUSE. I am constantly doing something and I need to PAUSE to take a breath sometimes. I need to PAUSE for a moment to think about what I am about to say. I need to PAUSE for a moment to think about what I am eating. I need to PAUSE for a moment to find peace in the moment and be more patient. I need to PAUSE for a moment to take in the world around me. I need to PAUSE to enjoy times with my children. I tend to be a hasty person, so taking a PAUSE to reflect on my actions and why I am doing something would be wise. It’s a weird word and I don’t know if I could see it on a necklace, but it it most defines what I am trying to accomplish.

I don't have a word... It's just too hard to narrow down. I have set some goals that focus on me and making the most of my time and remaining true to myself...
