Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

My word is passion. I love my job as a teacher and the staff I work with is amazing. One way I would like to acknowledge the great things they do on a daily basis is too send a home made card to a different person each week.
My big goal is working on going back to school. I am currently working on my national board certification so I can back to school and become a lawyer specializing in special education law. I want to be a voice for those who feel they can't speak for themselves and to help frame more rights for those that deserve it.

My word is simplify. Up first? Removing the clutter - the things, the thoughts, the stuff - that frustrate me and divert me from what truly matters. Today was my closet, and it feels amazing to let go of so much that I didn't use, need, or even like. Ahhhh. :)

My word for 2010 is "complete". I have so many albums and projects started I vow to work on completing them. I may not get them all completed but will sure make an effort. I have already begun by working on one mini album I started last year.

My words are purge and preserve...so I'm starting out the new year with purging. I love the quote: "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." After the big purge I'll have more time to preserve memories.

My phrase for 2010 is "Making Memories". I am focusing on doing things with my family that will make lasting memories. One thing we are doing as a family is a family night every Saturday night. There are three of us in the family, so every third Saturday each of us will be responsible for planning something fun for us to do together (watch a movie, have a games night, go for a hike, make a special dinner, etc). That makes 51 weeks - during the 52nd week we are going to Walt Disney World together - that will be a time of "making memories" for sure!!!

My word is "accept" - accept myself for what and who I am, accept relationships that are not the way I wish they were, and accept my aging body as it is and quit trying to look 20-something.

My word for 2010 is FOOTPRINT. We leave footprints with every decision we make. This year, one of the things I will work on is improving the footprint I leave for others. Let that footprint represent my support, comfort, professionalism, whatever is appropriate and right.

My word for the year is Reflection. It's broad enough that it covers the usual suspects like exercising more and spending less but it is also specific enough that it means something to me and how I approach each day and each new challenge.

Holy Cow, those are some great prizes! My word for this year is Peace. I need to focus more on the calmness that comes with peace. We've had such a stressful year, as have so many others, and I have got to find a more peaceful center.

Hi Ali
Happy New Year! I'm still trying to come up with a word for 2010. There are so many that I could chose that would apply to my life. I am leaning towards TIME....time to do something for me and time to spend just me and my husband. Thanks for the giveaway.

My word for 2010 is FOCUS. There are a few main things that I need to focus on this year: starting massage therpy school next week, starting a new jewelry line, maintaining a relationship while a loved one is overseas and just taking some time for myself. 2010 will be a wonderful, amazing year!

Waste-not. Waste not my time and energy on senseless preoccupations. Waste-not money and save for what's important. Waste-not my weight watchers points so only healthy nutritious foods enter my body. Happy New Year!

My word is "RELISH" - I chose that word because I really need to focus more on my family and less on my housework and outside influences. I need to relish the time I spend with my kids, my family and my friends. The laundry is always going to need washing, the dishwasher will always need emptying, but my kids won't always be this little, and my friends won't always be in the same town, so I'm really going to try to relish each minute. Thanks for the idea to come up with a word and for the chance to win some awesome prizes!

My word this year it "Delivery" at the moment but think it sounds a bit to formal so trying to think of another. Delivery is all about actually doing the things I want and need to for the year - I accomplished most I had set out for 2009 but a few key issues didn't happen so this year... I am going to deliver on them!

My word is Positive and my action is biting my tongue before I respond to things with my customary cynicism. I also plan to do something each month that I would typically be skeptical of.
