Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.

Eventhough I follow your blog religiously, I have never done the "one word" thing. Not sure exactly why -probably a little concerned over whether I could follow through with it or not. Didn't want to set up for failure or disappointment. Silly as that sounds. Maybe this is the year though - still have to choose one. So many thoughts on that. Thanks again for the giveaways.

I'm joining the photo a day group this year. I love to take pictures but still a little worried if I will be able to handle one a day! Wish me luck!

My word for the year is "moments". With our recent move across country, a little girl who will be entering school this year, and being closer to family...to be grateful even on the hard days, and to be in the moment. Life is too short to get caught up in the unimportant.

My word is "moment". With a recent move across country, a little one growing up too fast, and being closer to family I want to be present, to be in the moment, to not get hung up on the day to day things and to live life moment by moment.

My word is TRUE. No more denying that I've let my health/weight go too far, no more trying to be "perfect" and instead being honest with myself and accepting myself and not to try to control every single thing around me. Keepin' it real...

Story was a close second for me. But, ultimately, "SHINE" won out for me. It's scary to really shine, to really be the best me I can be, but it's time to do it!

I'm going with the word RUN. I'm training for my first marathon, though I've run many a half marathon. But along with the word RUN, I want to enjoy the whole process. Whether it is running to train, or running after the kids, I want to just enjoy the RUN.

My word for 2010 is FOCUS. One thing I am going to do is set a timer when I am on the computer to limit the time spent reading blogs (I am addicted!). When time is up, I go to work on other projects or tasks. Thanks for the chance to win-I love all the prizes!

After much thought, my word for 2010 is PERSEVERE. I feel like there are so many areas in my life that I would like to work on right now that I need to remind myself to persevere in order to accomplish some of the goals that I have set for myself. As a reminder, I plan on ordering a poster from Etsy that says "Keep Calm and Carry On." I've always liked those posters and after reading that a synonym for persevere is "carry on", I figured it would be a great daily reminder.

My work is BREATHE - I need to slow down and live in the moment and physically breathe more often.

My word is PASSION. Although there are some other things I need to work on, too - I need to find my passion this year. Last year I focused on being a mother and a wife, but I forgot who ELSE I was before all that jazz. I used to knit, read, take photos, craft... and now - none of that. So, I want to love myself again, find my passions, and indulge in them once in a while! I believe it will make me happier, healthier, and thus, a better wife and mother.

My word will be accept... WIth a daughter whose one-year birthday is quickly approaching, a full-time job teaching high school & what sometimes seems like millions of other things to tend to, I am going to do my best to accept that I can only do so much & that there will be some things that simply will not get done & that is just fine, as long as I have done my best and my marriage & family are happy.

One word? Hmmm...optimistic. A word that would help me find the good in everything, and have a good outlook on situations that might not always be "optimistic".
Thanks Ali.

My word for the year is BALANCE. Running my own photo business, being mom to two, wife, girl scout leader... whew... it's tiring but rewarding but I need to find that balance this year. And learn to say no! LOL
