Week In The Life : Reader Submissions Part One
So many great Week In The Life project images have been sent my way the last couple of weeks. Some paper, some digital, and some that really cool mixture of both. One of the biggest things I love to see is the variety of people,
places, countries, situations, lifestyles, phases of life, etc of the people
participating in this project. Thanks to everyone who has shared their
work with me both through email and on the Flickr
group.
Stay tuned for more samples tomorrow.

love the variety :) & thanks for including me :)
& funny little tidbit - my son's picture shows him patting down his hair to make sure it doesn't stick up (I remember you posting something about your son doing the same routine in the morning). Later I asked my son if this was a 2nd grade boy kind of thing and he said something like "Oh absolutely Mom, if you've got one piece out of place or sticking up all the other kids let you know as soon as you get into class." (We now use a bit of hairspray to keep that hair down!)

I agree Betsy. It's been so much fun, cool and inspiring doing this and knowing that at the same time so many others are doing it as well. I am so glad I didn't put this off as "something to do in the future".

It's amazing to see how everyone's joined in and to see this variety in results. It's an amazing worldwide time capsule.
Love the different styles and I love Jess's album; the photos are exquisite!

I love getting to see all these amazing examples! I can't wait to spend some time on each of the blogs exploring more. And thank you so much for featuring my pages, Ali :)

I second that!!! Ali is sharing her talent and has inspired me to change the way I scrap. I never wanted to start the fancy type of scrapbooking but now I love what I'm doing as it's mainly pictures+words which I love.

What a lovely story Katie, I wish I remembered all the little things like this when my kids were little. Now I record all the little things about my grankids as my daughter is overwhelmed with a child with a disability so I do it for her.
Love your album.

Ali, I love looking at this year's collection of albums - they seem like they have more "everyday living" pictures. Candids and visions of day-in and day-out "stuff". Feels like a piece of their lives frozen in time.

Jess's pages look very interesting. I would love to see more of her work!!

I love the different styles. Different takes on the same project.
It's very freeing to not have to run out and buy a certain embellishment or paper but rely on photos and journaling to tell the story. It's not always about the latest greatest and cutest "stuff" but telling the story and letting the words and pictures shine.

Love the examples. They make me happy as does completing this project! I never thought that documenting my ordinary life would be so fun, but there it is. The little things I want to write down so I don't forget. I love this project. I have almost finished Sunday so will keep going and hope to show you sometime...

Ali, On your first page using the 8x10 photo, are you resizing the photos to 8X10 vertical from your horizontal photo? Trying to figure out the best way to get 8 X 8.5 photos from my horizontal photos, without cropping out too much. Thanks for any advice.

Love it! So inspirational. I didn't do WITL yet, but I really want to now. I bought the 8.5x11 WITL templates and am loving them! I LOVE multi-photo layouts and these have been great for scrapping big events like vacations. PLEASE do more 8.5x11 multi-photo templates!!!

Hi Ali,
Love what everybody did with the WITL. So many different takes of the same concept.
I made Dutch templates for my WITL. I can't find how to submit them so I post a link.

I didn't have time and light to make pictures of all the pages yet ass I have a lot of pages some days. (coudn't choose what pictures to use and lots of journaling.)
Thank you so much for the inspiration!

OK...I'm inspired by Elle! I bought those "In The Week" cards for NEXT YEAR's week...along with the monthly cards. With a new baby in the house, I think simple will be better than this year's attempt (took photos, bought album, doing post-week journaling now - is that allowed? - but CLEARLY not going to be finished within a 2 week time period!)
I can do this! I can do this! I can do this!!!!!
Love all the examples! Very inspiring! Thanks!!!

Oh wow they are all so gorgeous and so inspiring! I really feel like running off and doing this project again - I did it a little over a year ago, it was tough but rewarding. You can see my album here:
