I loved being a part of something at school. Be it Band, Orchestra, Choir, Clubs, etc. That and learning to love to learn. That was the best part about school.

I loved going school clothes shopping and then wearing the new outfits to school for that first week.

Besides shopping for school supplies I just love new supplies in general. There's nothing like the smell of a new box of crayons!

I loved art classes in middle and high school and copying poetry in 4th grade & then being able to put an illustration in the top space of the lined page. Thanks for this opportunity!

I loved new school supplies (still do!!) and also reading time both in the earlier grades when the teacher would read to the class and later when we'd have silent reading time.

I always loved new school supplies (still do) - crisp new, non-doodled Pee-Chee folders, spiral notebooks where the spiral was still intact, sharp new crayons (love that smell), colored pencils that were all the same lenghth, un-globbed glue bottles and a fistful of #2 pencils.

I love my son's teacher from last year. She went out of her way to find different learning methods for him to learn. She would call with everything she would try or had heard about and wanted to try. A TRUE DEDICATED teacher to the core.. Miss her tremendously this year.

By far, my favorite thing about a new school year was new school supplies! I passed that onto my son, and even though he is grown, I still love looking through the school supplies aisles!

I loved the green & black tiles on the floors, and when our artwork was hung in the hall. I also loved the smell of the whole school on "hot dog lunch days". We only had hot lunches once a month, and we each got a hotdog, ketchup & mustard packets, and a bag of Jay's potato chips. Otherwise we brought our lunches and ate at our desks!

I absolutely loved that my Nan worked at school. She was, for many, many years a cleaner at the school and so many of my friends grew up calling my Nan, 'Nan'! I would see her briefly in the mornings then again in the afternoon. Sometimes I would go home, do my homework then go back to school to have afternoon tea in teachers staff room with Nan and her other cleaner friends. They were wonderful times...

For me, I loved the back to school shopping. Spending the day with my mom shopping for new outfits and then going out to a nice lunch. I now do this with my daughter.
Your post over the summer about the Memory works was great. I have been waiting for this to come out. I had purchased all the page protectors to go along with it.
