Today I'm joining a protest of perfection with a giveaway of my friend Dr. Brené Brown's new book The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are
I'm going to keep this simple: this book could change your life. You'll laugh, probably cry, learn a bunch about shame, resilience, kindness, letting go, compassion, mindfulness, and come out of the experience with ammunition for the fight against perfectionism.
Perfection is so over-rated. Imperfect is beautiful and real.

i always remember an art lesson saying how the best artists are children, for they just draw... they never correct themselves or stop to think how they should have done this or that or wonder how they could have done better... they just draw. Years later i still ponder this and the innocent beauty of childreh and what we can learn from them... and how i still wish i was one!
