GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.
Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

When you "spring forward," it's time to clean your ceiling fan blades. While you're up there, change the rotation direction AND remember to change the batteries in your smoke detectors. Do this again when you "fall back."

My spring cleaning tip is clean the windows. It's like having a clean kitchen sink, it just makes the room feel so much nicer to be in.

I am in a bit of a spring cleaning mode at the moment, even though we are on our way out of summer and into autumn here! Still, I figure it's better to do it when you have the urge than to just leave it. I think my 'tip' would be to start with plans to rearrange one room's furniture. This always inspires me to tidy and clean out which (usually) flows to other rooms. Thanks for the change to win!

We spring clean slowly, one space in one room at a time, so we don't burn out. Hopefully we get through the house and garage before it's too hot (we're in Phoenix).

My family goes through our things and when we don't need/want, have outgrown and donate then to a Women's and Children's Violence Center.

My spring cleaning tip would be to plan ahead the day you will start and start in your own closet then your room and bathroom.(Not all in one day!) But most importantly, just get started and follow up with one room at a time. Get your kids involved making a pile in their room of things they would like to donate to other children. Would love to win this class,so enjoyed looking at all of her wonderful pages.

Make it a game to take something with you on your way to where you are going. For example if you are in the bedroom and you are on your way to the kitchen, don't leave the room until you find something that also needs to go to the kitchen. Can't find anything? Then take something that can be dropped off along the way. When you make a drop off, pick up something that needs a ride to the next place.

Make it fun...get good music ready, plan dinner to be takeout or crackpot. Dh and I each go down the list taking a turn picking a chore. Most of the time he picks things I can't stand doing.

My best tip - go through your closet - if there is something you haven't worn all season, throw it out (well, put it in your Good Will bag, or charity of choice if it's still in good shape). It's time has passed, and it's time for it to go.

Anything in my wardrobe that I haven't worn in the past twelve months goes to the charity shops.

I don't know if this counts as a tip but I usually schedule the Salvation Army two-3 weeks ahead so I have to do the closets

My tip is to break it down to one room at a time, and do a full overhaul. Purge, clean and then a slight redecorate.

I am not sure that I have any tips for spring cleaning. My plan this year is to attack it while my kids are not on spring break but I am. I will look forward to other great ideas. Love the idea of this class. Thanks Ali!

Start with clothes...throw out old ones, save others for charity and prepare your closets for spring and summer clothing. Put Winter to bed!

Hmm spring cleaning tips: go through your drawers and get rid of old clothing that you don't wear anymore. This is a good time to do it as the seasons change. Take down your curtains and throw them in the washer. Helps freshen up the joint. Thanks for a chance to win this class. I have seriously thought about taking it several times in the past year.
Aloha, Kate
