Sponsor Giveaway | Mary Ann Moss
GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.
Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

Do one room of windows a day to knock it off gradually, starting with those you look out the most.

The class looks fun! My tip is to give a lot away to the Goodwill.

I don't really spring clean- it's more of an all-year around attempt at getting/keeping it clean but my main thing is trying to get rid of what we don't need/want by selling or giving it away. Our donations this past year (which were substantial since we were moving) helped clear out a LOT of stuff and definitely helped out with our tax refund.

Air out my rooms with opening the windows and add a splash of yellow - either fresh daffodils, "forced"forsythia, or bowl of lemons (and use one on the counters to get out stains.)

Hi
The class looks great.
I take every day 15-30 minutes to clean the rooms in total every day a lil bit.
And it is already mentioned few times: Open the windows and let the air and the sun in!
Thank you
Greetings from germany

send the kids on a grandma retreat!
I work harder + smarter when someone else is there, so my best tip is to tell a friend, "I'll help you wash your windows then you help me wash mine."

I hate cleaning at all, but do love the look of clean windows when the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming. Unfortunately, today is snowed and the flowers are all hidden!

I try to do a deep cleaning of the closet for the spring. No tips -just pull everything out and make sure only the favorites go back/

I just try to not feel sentimental about the items and get down to a reasonable amount of items for the space. Simplify!

set a timer for say 10 or 15 minutes. Get as much done in that allowed time. Then move on to the next room....next 10-15 min. Helps make these seasonal "cleanups" less daunting. I also agree with some others who have posted it....if you haven't used it or worn it in at least a year.....time for the garage sale or donation.
Thanks for the great give away and the sharing of these tips.

Must haves for spring cleaning are the oldie but goodies: lemons, vinegar w/water, baking soda, and bleach. These work better than most if not all brand name cleaners and they are easy on the wallet. :)

Oops! Forgot to share my favorite Spring Cleaning Tip...I couldn't think of anything so I asked my 8-year old niece...NO JOKE, this is what she said, "Leave it to your husband."
Out of the mouths of babes....
