Sponsor Giveaways | Green Frog Studio, Up & Running, Claudine Hellmuth for Big Picture Classes

GIVEAWAY | Two people will each receive a spot in the Up & Running Summer 5K Beginners Course, which starts on 13 June.

Up & Running provides unique online running classes for women. If you've always thought running was reserved for sporty types with bouncing ponytails, we're here to help you discover that running is for everyone. Our 5K Beginners Course is not the usual boring "walk 5 mins, run 5 minutes" program. We offer expert coaching from renowned coach Julia Jones, unlimited support from our community forums, and a mind and body approach that has been tried and tested with thousands of women around the world. Whether you've dabbled in running before or completely new to exercise, we'll not only help you start running safely, we'll get your mind in the right place too.

"Up & Running really has been the best thing I have done for myself in years, and not just for the running. My confidence and happiness in my own skin has increased so much and I love what my body can DO, rather than obsessing about what it looks like."
- Philippa, UK, Spring 5K course

Before I was married my Mom told me never to go to bed angry. Sometimes it was hard. But after 36years of marriage it does work!

My mom taught me to be myself. She encouraged me to be involved in the things I was interested in. She continues to encourage me in my job as a mom... I hope to be as encouraging to my kiddos!

My mom taught me to share whatever I have with others. She was forever taking garden bouquets, baking or garden produce to friends, family and the neighbors. She's still doing it! Thanks for sharing great giveaways - and Happy Mother's Day to you!!

My mom told me that my husband would always do something that I wanted to do, I just had to let him know.
Also, never give up your master bedroom to anyone visiting. It's your sanctuary, not a guest room.

What hasn't my mom taught me? She is awesome and been there every step of the way with always the right things to say. Her support has been Beyond expectations. One thing that I remember almost daily is that when you work hard it's nice to treat yourself. Not always or ever with expensive purchases but with something that is meaningful to you to keep you going. We all need a little TLC for ourselves. Today as a stay at home mom I take a couple hours to hang with my kiddos instead of laundry or scrapbook or plan a simple family outting. Thanks for awesome giveaways!

Seeing as how I have an 18 yr old daughter--this was a funny one...why buy the cow if you can have the milk for free?

My Mom taught me to stand up for myself and not be afraid to complain when you need to. She also never forgot any holiday no matter how small. I always woke up to something at my place at the table on even small holidays.

A life lesson my mom taught me is to persevere in the face of adversity, always work hard (effort is more important than the end result), and appreciate that your best efforts will help you achieve your goals. A related lesson, I suppose, is her always encouraging me to never sell myself short, and always strive for whatever it is that my heart and soul desires.

And, of course, she also shared with me her great taste in shoes. ;) Thanks, Mom!

Thanks for the opp, Ali! Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely moms out there!

My mom showed me how to love unconditionally. No matter what mistakes I made she was always there for me. It is the most wonderful feeling to know that no matter what, you have someone that would do anything for you.

My Mom taught more by example than with specific words of wisdom. She showed me that being a strong woman, being independent and confident, would allow me to be a better person, a better wife, to be able to give to others, and enjoy everyday to it's fullest.

My mom taught me to always say 'please' and 'thank you'. Something I have impressed upon my children and people are always commenting on how polite they are. We could really use a lot more 'please' and 'thank you' in this world.
