Camping 2011 | The Photos
Tags:First off, thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts about our dog Lily.
I'm happy to report that she is home safe and sound and is going to make it. We're so happy to have more time with her.
Today I wanted to share some favorite photos from our camping trip.
We had to cut the adventure a little short with Lily needing to go to the hospital, but the time we had camping with family and friends was really great. I think it's the beginning of a wonderful summer tradition.

Love your photos! These are precious times and you captured them. My children are teenagers and they are not interested in camping, just theme parks right now.

Glad to hear Lily is doing better. Steffi's been on wet dog food for over half her life because of the bladder stone. I especially love the last pic of Chris with the kids. It just says it all.

So happy Lily is home and safe with her family. The pictures are great and wow you really are roughing it, the lake right there and all those woods. My favorite photo is the last one and I agree the kids look older each time you show us. Simon is very handsome just like his dad also. It looks as though you had a lot of cold days or nights with the winter wear and long sleeves/coats, hope it some warm days too. Can't wait to see what you do with your pictures.
p.s. I'm so excited and counting down till WITL next week, fun fun fun

Thank you for sharing your pictures! Looking at them makes me homesick :( I am from NW WA, but we are currently stationed in the St. Louis area and nothing comes close to the beauty of that area and especially this time of year when we can barely go outside because of the heat and humidity I miss home!! So I loved seeing the scenery in your photos... trees and mountains!! Also glad to hear that your Lily is doing better!

What AMAZING pictures! The last two are my absolute favorites!!! The one of your daughter is spectacular the way the light shines on her face; she is SO stinking cute, too! Also, that last one is fantastic - capturing the interaction between your husband and kids. LOVE THESE! Thanks SO MUCH for sharing... kind of makes me want to try camping with kids... someday. - Sarah, SAHM of NB and 25mo old boys

Beautiful pics! Glad to hear about Lily -
Question regarding WITL. I'm trying to go thru some patterned papers that might work well together. What would you suggest as far as the number of each? Hope this makes sense..... I'd appreciate any input you may have. THANKS!

I'm just going to have a few - my album will be less pattern paper and more photos and stories.

All the pictures are wonderful, but that last one takes the cake. What a satisfied Daddy face he has there. : )

Every time I listen to the song "Lily" by the fabulous band Pink Martini, I think of you and your dog. The song is a little ambiguous--not sure whether it is about a coy girlfriend or a beloved pup, but it's fabulous either way! Happy to hear that she is doing better.

The song is on their "Hang on Little Tomato" album.
I'll have to listen to that one - love Pink Martini.

Great photos of your trip and ever so glad to hear that Lilly is so much better! There is something about sitting in a circle around a campfire that gives you that "this is really nice" feeling, I think and am glad you will be making memories from this trip!

Love the s'more shirt on the not-Simon kiddo!! Any info on the source of that! Quick google search yielded some, but not nearly as great!! Sign of relief of about Lily, we know what a big part of families the four legged creatures are in our family.

What a wonderful time it looks like you all had. I haven't been camping since I was a kid. I don't remember it being as nice as it looks in your pics.
So glad Lily is doing better!
I think my favorite shot might be the black olives one. I remember doing that so much as a kid. :)
