I'm 70 pounds lighter and doing my first triathlon !

Thx for the chance to win. Something special - I am a fighter! I've been battling Crohn's disease for years, quite severe the past 5 years, but I refuse to give in, keep working at being healthy as I can - and keep smiling!

In the past I would have said patience, though over the past four years my daughter has worked to find the limits of my patience and made me think mine doesn't stretch as far as I once believed :)

wishing on my little star! it's difficult to talk about myself : I think I'm special in my way with children, I have 3 sons of my own, I also raised my husband's nephex when he lost his parents& sister in a car crash, and I also take care of 2 other boys during all summer vacation : and it"s fun!

Hmmmm-something special about me---is the family that I'm a part of. My husband ---kids (21) & (18) are above and beyond what I could ever ask for and I am special because of them. :)

Such a great giveaway Ali! I teach junior high students with mild to moderate disabilities and love it. People think I'm crazy for my love of teaching junior highers but they are fun and one wild adventure each year! Happy Friday Ali!!

Something special about me...hmmm...I guess I would say that I am a very loyal friend...I still take walks with the first friend I made in preschool on saturdays! I value these old relationships and wish I had maintained more of them!

When you look to yourself it is hard but what makes me special is....

My family..i love the bones of them all and know that i am truly loved back no matter what i do or what life throws our way!!

One thing special about me, would be that I'm always looking out for others first. Be it making sure that people have eaten, or gotten what they need, before I do so for myself.

I am special because I've decided to LIVE....just seize opportunities, not be afraid...take chances....i want no regrets.

I think the compliment I am most proud of lately is when I was recently asked to bring a fruit salad to my niece's house in the days right before her father was dying. No one wanted to make the fruit salad so she asked me and then apologized but said she knew I wouldn't mind, because "it's Nancy." She said I was always there to help and happy to do so, not complaining about having to chop everything up like others were doing at this sad time. Her simple words made me so proud to know how she saw me and reminded me of the good I do for others. So I think that is something special about me, that the people around me see me as caring and helpful when they need it.

That is a difficult thing for me to say, but i will say it is because God created me.... and I am thankful he has given me the ability to express love through my creations.

I have had to leave home for the last 5 months to be with my 33 yr old son who received a liver transplant on April 1st. He has lost his large bowel due to ulcerative colitis and contracted chicken pox in ICU. He is still in hospital and, hopefully, coming home in another 2 or 3 weeks.

I am empathetic.

I've learned over time that no matter how much you think about the future, and plan for it, life will take you on an adventure you never dreamed of.

What a lovely idea for a comment! I am special because i am involved in my community. I started a garden tour in my city a few years ago, and watching it come full circle makes me realize this is my gift to the community and to me! thanks Ali for all the inspiration.

I have the best and greatest friends and their deeds are what makes me special.
