New Project Life Now Available

I'm excited to see that the newest round of Project Life page protectors are now available through Amazon.

Here's what I'm hoping to get for 2012: Scrapbook Dividers (shown above)

Big Envelope Pages - these can be used for all kinds of stuff. Love this idea.

Photo Pocket Pages - Big Pack of Design A | these are the same ones I used this year. Happy with this style.

Photo Pocket Pages - Variety Pack | can't resist - love page protectors and can be used for lots of different stories

6x12 Page Protectors

I'm also getting some more of the grid 3x4 journaling cards. It's been great having some simple blank cards.

Most likely I'll be sticking with the plain black We Are Memory Keepers 12x12 album.

When the time comes (and it's available) I'll be ordering the Clementine design.

I plan to continue posting my Project Life pages in 2012. It's been such a great project this year - thanks for all your support and encouragement and conversation along the way.

You can see all my Project Life pages from 2011 here.

I love all the different styles of PP Becky is offering, so many cool things you can do with them. So happy your doing this again next year and will be sharing it with us. I am ordering the Cobalt full set but adding the core set of Clementine to mix in and for my daughter's album.

Can't wait to see that WHITE BOX in my house again this year!!!

Im in NZ and have pre ordered my goodies and very excited that they will be here soon. Cant wait to get everything and get 2012 project life all set up. My sister and I usually have a dvd night and we set up our project life kits, putting cards in the order that we want putting in the filler cards etc so that the album is ready to go and each week we can just add the photos and then do some journalling. Love seeing your pages each week that you share Ali.

Hello Alison. I am in NZ too and have pre-ordered my kit too. I made mine up this year and even though I ADORE it, it ended up costing me probably twice what PL would have! So much for saving money :P

Tracy-lihanne- we ordered from Crafthouse in NZ. I would suggest rather than pay two lots of shipping, that if you know someone in the states at all, get it sent to them and get them to send it on to you. This is what I have done with other PL stuff and it saved a bit. Good Luck!

    I love Project Life...going into 5th year in 2012.
Using American Craft Album, Becky's page protectors and dividers and creating my own 4x6 and 2x3 cards using Echo Park For the Record products....Becky's stuff is really pretty but not my style at all.
All of this branched out of Ali's very early December Daily that was a feature in CK magazine years ago....This format is gets even better the longer you do it.
Looking back is so much fun and triggers so many memories and stories...and that is what this craft is all about!

I forgot to mention using lots of Ali's digital overlays etc!
They really make a difference in the look of the book.

I'm hoping to play along again next year too. For me it's about telling the little story behind the photos I would normally take during the year. I love looking back at photos but having the reason why I took the photo right there with it is priceless.

Hi, I live in South Africa and I'm about to order my first PL kit via Canada. Paying as much for the shipping as for the kit. Can't wait for the day that it arrives! I have done digital PL last year and this year.

I'm so glad Project Life is working for you Ali. I was sorry when you didn't hit a stride with it in the first year - somehow it was important to me that you got the hang of using PL to tell those everyday stories, it seemed such a good fit for your style. I just love it for giving a home to those photos I probably won't scrap but are noteworthy snaps of everyday life none the less. I have given in to the natural flow of it now and let go of needing to do a spread a week, they go in as they are taken, so some weeks there are pages and pages and others none - and that, as you would say, is totally fine!

Does anyone know a source for those envelope pages in 8 1/2 x 11? (or something similar - but smaller size) Those would be great for my son's school album.

I've boughten 8.5x11 envelopes at Staples or WalMart (in Canada, I would assume they have them in the US). They open on the side and are either an envelope with a velcro closure or a zipper alon the while side. I've also got one that opens at the top and can expand - it's got a pleat on 3 sides so that it can get thicker. They all came with 3 ring holes.

Super excited about these as well! I'm hoping I can stay on track with the 2012 year rather than work on 3 weeks every week at the end of the year! LOL Love your PL style!

Ali, Thx for sharing your thoughts! Are you getting a Core kit, too - or waiting for the new ones? Just curious which (if any) you'll be working with...

I am new to Project Life and just ordered my page protectors and other new items from Amazon the other day. I can't wait to get started. I have one question... someone mentioned Ali's digital overlays and how great they look in the Project Life album. What are digital overlays? Thanks.

I love seeing what you'll be using next year, Ali. Thank you for sharing that. But, mostly, thank you for being up for continuing to share your Project Life album with us next year! I always look forward to Tuesday, to see how you've put the week together. You inspire me to continue with my own album. For that, many thanks over and over again! ~Jen

Although I'm not completely sure I will do PL, I did go ahead and order some of the photo pocket pages and page protectors...even if I end up not doing it, I can use those for other projects.

Tinka give it a try. I loved doing it last year and decided not to do it this year due to family illness. I now regret this and it was a good and easy way to document events without getting into too much detail. I will be doing it next year but I don't do a photo a day, I document a week at a time as Ali does. This makes it a little less stressful. Hope you go ahead with this.

keep up the inspiring, creative work, Ali!!! I've ordered a variety of the pages and am hopefully starting my Project life album tonight!!! I have SOOO many supplies that I've never used so I'm going to mix and match my style/supplies/project life kit.

Also, do you have any good thoughts on how you explain/teach thanksgiving to Simon? Any great holiday books? My nephew (age 5) is autistic and your advice and stories have helped my family...

    Have a great weekend!!

Hi Kelly - one of the things we've been doing regularly is saying something you're thankful for each night at dinner. This isn't a specifically "thanksgiving" activity but it's a simple gratitude exercise - he protests many nights but eventually he'll choose something. Just hoping that making that a habit will be something he can carry with him throughout his life. If I think of something specific I'll let you know.

Hi Gwen - I put things inside the pockets back to back (so each pocket ends up with something on the front and something on the back).

    Ali--

I just received my Cobalt kit in the mail the other day& I'm excited to get started on this project. You have made it look so easy! I actually haven't scrapped a page in over 4-5 years but have kept up with your blog (& others) over the years. I have missed it so much but have had a lot happen in my life over those years and scrapping was sadly at the bottom of my list of things to do. Some days I was doing good just to get up & put one foot in front of the other. I didn't feel like my life has been anything to scrap about over those years since they haven't been the greatest of times. But I'm trying really hard to start fresh in 2012, to think of all the positive things in my life, and I'm excited to find things to scrap about again. This simple format makes it seem less overwhelming, more doable.

I've also followed along with your One Little Word project over the years but never picked a work for myself. I'm thinking ahead to 2012 and already have a word in mind, PEACE. I want to live it, to make it a daily part of my life, to seek it in everything I do, and to truly find it in the quiet, everyday moments.

You have been such a huge inspiration over the years, Ali & I wanted to take the time to let you know that although I've been quietly following along, hiding in the shadows, I'm looking forward to coming out to play in 2012!! THANK YOU!

PS--I love the idea of getting both kits and mixing them up! It was so tough to choose between them, now I don't have to! :-)
