What is your happiness today?

my happiness is that i'm going home tomorrow after being in PA for work all week!

wonderful smelling yellow roses growing around my front door, and seeing plants start to grow and blossom that I planted from teeny baby plants... makes me happy that I managed to do that!

Making paper bag album kits for a sleepover birthday party my daughter is going to this weekend. I think a bunch of seven and eight yrs making these is just to cute for words.

I'm back home after a 4 day business trip, and I'm getting to spend the day with my two girls. I surprised my 5 year old this morning when I met them at the Krispy Kreme...she thought I hadn't left Orlando yet. The look on her face and the look on the baby's face...PURE HAPPINESS:)

my little guy is back to 100% healthwise (poor sweetie was really sick)...

Finding this blog! I discovered it today and have already gone back and read all of your archives ... and I've fallen head-over-heels for your son :) I've just turned 33, was a writer for a magazine, but have been on disability for six years now because of a genetic, autoimmune disease that leaves me in a lot of pain and, at the moment, homebound. I LOVE art and scrapbooking and designing ... and on a day like today when doing that is too painful, I found YOU and your ideas and your wonderful following of people and suddenly I feel a part of something great. My mind is racing with ideas of things to do in the moments when I feel better. Even at the worst moments I am hopeful and optimistic, but this site today made me HAPPY :)

Spending the afternoon shopping with my mom and daughter. Newborn baby bunnies in the yard. Starbucks mocha frappuccinos. Looking at the ultrasound picture of my soon-to-arrive grandson. Tonight's dinner date with my husband. :)

My happiness today was spending the day with my daughter just hanging out.

Happiness, knowing I only have 2 hours of work left today, 2 hours left with the heartless catty women I work with, or try to anyway. And knowing I am going to scrap tomorrow night with my sweetie.

treating my son to a big bowl of ice cream & seeing his eyes just glow out of pure joy... after spending 2 hours in the mall w/ me searching for the perfect bathing suit, which i finally found one.

Today it was a long chat with a friend while our kids played. Then an unexpected phone call from an old friend to finalize plans to get together next month.

All the "to do's" are done. And tonight I get to listen to the amazing, astounding pianist, Tao Lin, live in concert! Those are my two happys today. Cheers!

My happiness today is...finally giving in to spending money on myself, even though I'm broke, to get a much needed haircut. Nothing perks you up from a long day like seeing yourself in the mirror with a good haircut.
