phenomenal. really. one of my great loves, was a man who took care of an autistic man, for a living. at the time. then it became his way of life. it became his reason. he learned to live. it was my first time knowing an autistic person. phenomenal. jesse became ben's best friend. ben was able to buy his own home, live without his parents constant care. ben lived. and jesse learned. i only wish i could reconnect with them today. ali... you amaze me. both as a mother and a creator.
humbled and thankful.. is me.
They are almost a tradition here at the Boston Marathon. I grew up 2 mi.'s from the start and could walk to the start of the race. I loved to see them every year and see how they were doing. It was always inspiring to see the wheelchair racers do the race, they are truely the amazing ones with the their endurance and courage...
I am reminded daily how lucky and blessed I really am. And for that blessing I simply try to pay it forward....By doing that maybe somewhere sometime someone will benefit...
I need to go hug me son now....
Wow! Amazing.
It brings tears to my eyes even though I get to volunteer with the physically challenged and see such inspiring lives on a regular basis. Always inspiring.
I needed to see this video this morning. I woke up to a stressful morning of cranky kids, puking dog, PITA hubby and was feeling sorry for myself. This video made me cry, but from inspiration . . thanks.
Totally in tears now, Ali. LOL Thanks for sharing this, I've seen this pair before, but it was refreshing and good to see again. What a treasure and a blessing.
Dang it. I never thought I'd agree with a group of sobing grown woman... but as it went on and on I couldn't help it... the tears just came streaking down my face silently. How often do you really get to feel like that? I mean seriously, that touched so, SO DEEP.
As I lay here bawling like a baby watching such a moving movie, I give thanks each and everyday I am here. I can only imagine....well I can do more than imagine. I too am wheelchair bound due to a hit and run motorcycle accident that left me a paraplegic, lucky to even still be here. I can only imagine...I could be like the son, totally dependant on my wonderful husband to do the simple things. I can only imagine...my children and grandchildren not having me here....I can only imagine...not being able to see this awesome video and share it with others so they too know just because your not "perfect" doesnt mean you can't love and live your life to the fullest possible or have a dream fullfilled. Life goes on and we do the best we can with what we have been dealt. It sure beats the alternative. I can't even imagine....
Thank you Ali for sharing such an awesome video!
