AEzine Challenge: one little word

Hey Ali! Loved this first challenge of the New Year.
I chose the word ABANDON...I know..odd. But I wanted something that immediately caught my attention and make me think!

Healthstyle
Maybe not a "real" word, but it encompasses everthing I am working toward this year. Not only eating healthy, excercising and weight loss, but also a healthy lifestyle. To me this means a healthy mindset; no more seeking approval from others, home evnironment; being the best mother and wife I can be, and healthy decisions as well; choosing what's best for me and my family which may not be the best choice for other people concerned. I feel like I need to focus on "US" for a change and not worry so much about all of the "others" in our life.
I have started a journal to keep me thinking about what this really means to me and to keep me mindful of how I can change my "healthstyle" for the better this year.
Thanks for making me really think about what I want to do with the year and how I could change things for the better for me and my family. It is so easy to just say... yeah I'd like to change something... but this really made me THINK about it and how I can really make a change and not waste the new year.

For me, my 'word' has always been a song. The lyrics and melody carry me through the year and give me strength. Last year was "answer" by Sarah McLauchlen, year before was "in my daughter's eyes" by Martina McBride. This year is "keep singing" by Mercy Me.

This challenge turned out to be one of the best yet! I thoroughly enjoyed creating a layout with my word choice for the year. After finishing the layout, I thought that it was one of my best ever!
