Loved reading some of the responses that have already been posted.

We are going to be celebrating Simon's birthday tonight with a little party. I ended up getting stuck and delayed yesterday, not making it home until around 11pm. All is good now (yesterday, not so good). Mom is here and we have been having fun wrapping presents, frosting cupcakes that Chris baked yesterday, and getting things ready for a fun evening. Photos to come!
Thanks so much for all the comments yesterday and to those of you that made donations to Autism Speaks yesterday in his honor, thank you so very much.

And want to see some of the silent auction items (money was raised through a silent auction + a raffle)? Go here.

THE 20 ESSENTIALS OF MARY’S SCRAPBOOKING
1. Black Journaling Pen.
2. Brown Journaling Pen. I do a lot of heritage pages and many times this color is better than black.
3. Cutter Bee precision tip Teflon coated scissors.
4. 12” paper trimmer.
5. Tape Runner Adhesive from Creative Memories…I can not live without it!
6. Black ink pad.
7. Brown ink pad.
8. 12” metal straight edge ruler.
9. Making Memories Tool Kit & Supplemental Tool Kit (paper piercer, hole punch, eyelet setter, tweezers, straight edge knife, etc.)
10. Corner Rounder. Creative Memories works the best for me.
11. Computer. Although I do not do digital scrapbooking, yet, you can not imagine all of the things I use my computer for with scrapbooking.
12. Brads. Any size, shape or color.
13. Small spiral notebook for notes, sketches, thoughts, journaling, etc.
14. Adhesive ereaser. A must have to go along with the Xyron.
15. Xyron “X” adhesive for sticker making.
16. Card Stock. I am using more and more of it and less patterned paper. (Don’t worry, I will never completely give up patterned paper.)
17. Glue Dots. They will stick anything to your page
18. Chef’s Apron. I know it sounds a little weird, but you have never seen me using an ink pad or acrylic paints!
19. Craft Keepers. Large “safe” plastic envelopes that will hold your 12 x 12 inch card stock, patterned paper, embellishments, notes and sketches for a layout together in one place until you are ready to work.
20. Totally Tote. Most of the above mentioned scrapbooking "stuff" is neatly packed in this so I am ready at a moment's notice to go scrapbooking...in the next room, at the local Scrapbooking Store, or a friend's house.
There you have it, everything I need to scrapbook. Everything else is frosting on the cake!

This really mad me think - and also appreciate how much clutter I have gathered that I really don't need.
Thank you for prompting me to re-evaluate
My list is here

i admit i horde things, afraid to cut into a pristine sheet of patterned paper. that means i still buy paper and have lots but keep holding on to it. i resolve this year to use some of my stuff
