If you got the newest issue of the AEzine in your inbox you may have read that over the last couple weeks I have had over 1500 photos printed. The stack you see above is just from Disney World. And I have a plan for them...just starting to tackle the album today.

Almost all the photos I ordered were 4x6 inch - a few larger ones were thrown in for good measure. From the 4x6 inch photos I will do a lot of cropping. Some were printed at Costco and I am waiting on two big orders from Scrapbookpictures.com. It took over four hours to upload my order of 500+ prints on Monday. I just set it up and let it run its course.

Baskets_1

Yesterday I took a morning inspiration break and headed to my favorite local antique/cool stuff store in Springfield called Ruthie B's. I could spend days in there just looking at all the stuff - if you live locally you have to take a morning or afternoon and go - they also serve tea and lunch. Brought home a couple wire baskets and a bunch of good ideas for my book. Love that kind of experience inspiration - Julia Cameroncalls it an artist date and that is just what it was - a recharge of my creative spirit.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my call for Life Art comments and questions. I so appreciate you taking the time to do that - the book will be richer because of your participation.

Back to work.

Oooo- Ruthies is my favorite. And if you live in town or visit the area, you MUST treat yourself to her tomato soup and bread pudding for dessert. Such a treat. I love her store. So much history and fun and eye candy. And if you want to go and don't know where it is - e-mail me and I'm happy to give you the tour :) A Ruthie's day is a happy day.

Wow... big stack of photos! I can't wait to see how you tackle the Mouse Problem that vexes scrappers everywhere. Whatever you do, I'm sure it will be great! I went minimalist on mine, but we only did one day at MK. Far fewer photos!

    Good stuff Ali.
I love the "artist date" idea and I should schedule that into my weekend sometime soon.
P.S. I LOVE your calendar, it's a great reminder to be and to create.
    Gracias :)

You have inspired me today to upload photos. I have put it off for far too long. I realized that I really need to have them in hand sometimes to be inspired.
Now I just need to figure out what sizes for what. Ali, do you have a system? Do you *photoshop* any first? I just don't know where to begin....and I thought digital would be so much easier!
Mine has always been to just upload and put in a folder and print as needed. I need a system to edit and upload.
    Thanks.

That pile of photos makes me totally happy. :) And, of course, I'm dying to see your Disney pages, but I'm guessing we have to wait for the new book to get a glimpse!

Love the stack of photos -- isn't it great to find that little *present* in your mailbox?
Sometime, would you mind tackling the question of what you do with all the photos that never make it to a layout? I'm assuming you don't scrap ALL of those photos!!! I have piles, piles everywhere, and somehow putting all in a photo box seems no different than keeping them in my computer...

I can relate to the pics...I took 1,500 in Brazil (17 day trip to an orphanage..)
I've taken 9 discs of pics to 3, and have "895 good pics" to choose from.
How do you sort through what you are going to print and put in an album.
I mainly digi scrap, so I'll print once I get pages finished.
Anyway, I totally love your idea of an artist date. Two weeks ago, I popped in some old, favorite movies and digi scrapped sitting in my bed. It was totally relaxing and fun.
I'm a bit late on the Life Artist, but I love the concept of looking for art in everything. I was never the "artsy" cousin in my family, my cousins went to art school. But now, through my photography and digi scrapping, I create art. Amazing concept. I'm even submitting some of my pics to a contest that a gallery is having. Imagine, my pics in an art gallery.
So, I love the concept of Life Artist. Thanks for giving me something to relate to.

that is A LOT of pictures. I lost every single one of mine from our Disney trip. I took my "little" camera b/c I didn't feel like hauling my Rebel on all the rides. In hindsight, it would've been worth it.

You're making me jealous describing your trip to Ruthie B's! A little "Artist Date" sounds like SOO MUCH fun! Sure beats the other stuff I've been doing!

That stack of photos looks so inspiring, it almost looks "yummy"! I also like those wire baskets. I love antiques.
About the newsletter today, perfect topic! Being the mom of a 3-year-old, 2-year-old & 9-week old, I'm having a really hard time finding the time to scrap. Of course, the fact that my older 2 have really been a handful for the past couple of weeks makes it worse. Anyway, thanks for the tips!

Hello, I have a question for you. First off, I love your attitude. About life, about scrapbooking, about everything. (I feel the same about having a lot of photos to do. Love the option of working on a lot of different things.) But I do have one question. Are you SERIOUSLY ALWAYS this happy??? (Like if I asked your husband, what would he say? Mine would say I seem a lot happier to other people than I am at home, which I hate. I don't want to be that way.) So! How do you keep your good attitude in your daily life w/ your daily struggles??
