Jodi Picoult marathon.
Don't know what took me so long but I finally picked up a Jodi Picoult novel in the Salt Lake airport. By the time I got home I had read 250 pages of My Sister's Keeper and finished it up this morning. It was an awesome, heart-wrenching, take-me-to-another-place novel. It was so good I had to go to the used book store today to stock up on as many of her other books as I could. Already started another one: The Pact.
Been waiting to find a new author I could devour like this one...

I love her books! I am about 20 pages from finishing Keeping Faith, and I finished 19 Minutes a few weeks ago! She is definitely AMAZING!

Although My Sisters Keeper is my favorite, I really enjoyed J.P.'s "Harvesting the Heart" as she is an artist... great author, one of my fav's.

My friend Jamie enlightened me on how good Jodi Picoult is, thank goodness. 19 Minutes, her newest, is a wild ride!

Oh Ali! I should have clued you in my friend. She is one author I can't put down. I have hooked several friend and family on Jodi! We can't get enough. In fact, Sue gave me 19 Minutes and I started it the day after CKU Detroit and didn't put it down for 3 days until I was done. Seriously, she is the best writer. My Sister's Keeper made me weep and rejoice throughout at moments. I couldn't put it down. The Pact hooked me and I've been a fan ever since. I just started Salem Falls today. She is one you will follow for a long time to come.

Love Jodi Picoult. You are starting with 2 of my favs, along with Perfect Match. I'm almost finished with Vanishing Acts and have Nineteen Minutes in my hospital bag. I'm probably a bit dilusional that I'm going to get a chance to read after just having a baby!

Jodi totally rocks. After years of not reading, I picked up one of her books and haven't stopped reading since. They are all good in their own way. Enjoy!

My Sister's Keeper was my first Jodi Picoult novel too, and I did the same thing - bought a bunch of her other books. I just finished Nineteen Minutes, and it is another one you must read. My favorite one remains My Sister's Keeper though - it was just a heartwrenching story!

Well, is this a timely topic for me or what? Jodi Picoult is the keynote at the upcoming Writer's Digest Conference at the end of the month in NYC. I wanted to read one of her books before I meet her there and I didn't know where to start, but all of these great comments have shown me the way! I think I'll go back to her first book and start there.
Thank you!
And p.s. the thought of two cross country plane trips to read a novel--someone please pinch me. I'll be in heaven.

So weird, I just started that book last night and finished it just minutes ago. Can't remember the last time I couldn't put a book down like that.

She is my all time favorite author. I have gone to signings & readings twice for my birthday. Don't read them too fast or they will be gone. Poof! And then you will have to patiently wait for the next...Enjoy. You will find no better author.

Just smiling to myself. I came across Jodi Picoult a year or so ago; it was a selection for our book club. Since then, it's been all that I can do to *not* suggest reading her each month. I absolutely love how she involves you in her novels. We just recently finished "The Tenth Circle", last years' new release. Still good stuff. I'm looking forward to a mini vacation next month - maybe I can "suck down" one or two more of her novels.

A few of us at work are reading her at the moment too.
I am reading Picture Perfect, which is fantastic, and have 2 others to read.
I have been reading books by Robin Cook before starting Jodi's books, and although different, they are also hard to put down. His last 3-4 novels have been amazing.
