Jodi Picoult marathon.
Don't know what took me so long but I finally picked up a Jodi Picoult novel in the Salt Lake airport. By the time I got home I had read 250 pages of My Sister's Keeper and finished it up this morning. It was an awesome, heart-wrenching, take-me-to-another-place novel. It was so good I had to go to the used book store today to stock up on as many of her other books as I could. Already started another one: The Pact.
Been waiting to find a new author I could devour like this one...

LOVE Jodi Picoult! My Sister's Keeper and The Pact are both very good reads. I read them in that order too. I just picked up her latest Nineteen Minutes (haven't read it yet) and saw her at a book signing at Borders! She was funny and very down to earth. Also a fan. :)

Okay all you (book) readers out there...I do this all the time, I'm hoping one of you will help me remember. Some time ago Ali had a book on the right side of her blog...something like Pearls for Breakfast, or maybe After Breakfast. Please help me remeber the title. Thank you!

I am reading Nineteen Minutes right now, and keep asking my thirteen year old son how things are in his life (it is about a young teenager who goes to school and opens fire on his classmates...) I think he thinks I am nuts :)

I love Jodi! The first novel of hers I read was "Plain Truth" and I was hooked. I've read several of her books since then. She's just so good! I'm reading "Nineteen Minutes" right now. Can't wait to finish it!

I can't remember which one I started with in March but after reading just one I have now read about 9 of her books. I have another one in my stack to read, can't remember the name. I haven't gotten My Sister's Keeper yet. The last one I read was Keeping Faith. I love her stuff. Great writer.

Congratulations on finding one of the BEST authors around. My Sister's Keeper is definitely my favorite, though Vanishing Acts also kept me up all night!
Enjoy! :)

THe first ook of hers that I read was "Plain Truth", it's probably my fav by her. I've read a few of hers and they're all really good, they jst sort of suck you right in to the story.

LOVE Jodi Piccoult! One of the best writers of all time. I actually just saw her a few weeks ago (for the second time) at a book signing. She is definitely worth seeing if you can get a chance and she is in the area. :)

That is one of the best and saddest books I have ever read. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to pick up another. Let us know how "The Pact" turns out. Have read the back and it sounded good too.
