Jodi Picoult marathon.
Don't know what took me so long but I finally picked up a Jodi Picoult novel in the Salt Lake airport. By the time I got home I had read 250 pages of My Sister's Keeper and finished it up this morning. It was an awesome, heart-wrenching, take-me-to-another-place novel. It was so good I had to go to the used book store today to stock up on as many of her other books as I could. Already started another one: The Pact.
Been waiting to find a new author I could devour like this one...

I am reading "Nineteen Minutes" right now. It's too good to put down! I haven't read all of her books yet and I'm trying to pace myself so I have a couple of her books to read over the summer. :) Happy reading!

For the "Use old stuff" challenge, I submit a page I did late last month for a similar challenge.
The challenge was to find the "oldest" piece of patterned paper in your stash and use it or donate/throw it.
I found a large stack of older Creative Memories paper. I used a snippet of it on this page as I was inpsired and the rest is in my donate bin. (Which sometimes goes to Girl Scout meetings with me)
This is a link to my blog post. My challenge page is the first picture of the post.

Hey Ali!
Another Jodi P. fan here! I started reading her with My Sister's Keeper for a book club. I've been hooked ever since and read about four others! So far The Pact is one of my least favorites of her novels. Enjoy!

It's funny when I wrote those two book titles down for you in Chicago, neither was one of hers, BUT, I love her!! The first one I read was a thrift find and it was my sisters keeper too!! I LOVED IT!. I have the tenth circle waiting to start tonight!!
what a great feeling a good book is!

My Sister's Keeper ROCKED!! I read it last summer while lounging in my pool...I would be so shriveled up by the end of the day - the only reason I left the pool was because it got dark and I couldn't see the book anymore!! The best read I've had in a while by far! Check out Nineteen Minutes by Picoult! I'm on the waiting list at my local library for that one!

Have loved all her books for many years. I rush right out to get the newest one - she usually has a new one every year. My favorite is The Plain Truth - probably because it dealt with the Amish that are a part of my community here in PA. Just read Nineteen Minutes and while it was difficult to read (I teach) it did not disappoint! Elizabeth Berg is another author whom I read EVERYTHING that is written. Check her out if you haven't.

I love that book. I devoured it too and it made me cry. Good Tears, important tears. I shared it with my 13 year old daughter. She resisted at first seeing my tears, but then picked it up and decided it was the best book ever.

I'll be the gaggilionth person to say welcome to the Picoult Cult. Everything she writes is amazing. I loved both that you're on and I can usually finish one of her books in about a day. Busy life considered, she's THAT good. Enjoy!

Every Picoult fan MUST read Salem Falls, a fantastic book (loved it as much as Sister's Keeper and The Pact). It reminded me so much of The Crucible, and, because I am a high school teacher, this really hit home.
