Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have been putting off finishing up a mini baby book I made for my son. I guess I don't want to admit my last lil' one is growing up. =(
It is so difficult, it almost makes me want to have another one. Little ones are sure sweet to have around the house. Just the smell alone of a newborn is worth all the sleepless nights. Wish I could have bottled the precious smell of my babies. Delish!

I have been putting off an album about our favourite childhood memories at my Grandparent's house. It requires that I contact all of my cousins for their input, and some of them don't have email, which means writting letters the old fashioned way...which I just haven't got to yet!! But I will...

I've been dying to make an album like this.
I've been putting off scrapbooking some funny every-day type stuff that my daughter's been doing because I'm pregnant and sick and can hardly peel myself off the couch to eat let alone scrapbook.

I've been putting off my parents albums. My Mom will never do anything with the photos but put them in boxes, so I wanted to put them in albums for her. The project is simply overwhelming, because it would include organzing all the photos + scrapbooking them. And with my new baby and work, the day seems to slip through my fingers.

What HAVEN'T I been putting off? Most of the scrapbook projects I've got on the go seem so big and daunting...our trip to Africa, the ongoing restoration of our Victorian house and a proper baby album for my son (NOW 14)! What I am working on is a book for my mother's 80th birthday in December, and there is nothing like a deadline to focus one's attention!

Oh, I'm still trying to get through my college year's album ... almost finished but have the hardest time just getting to it!
And I'm just about to give birth to our first babe, so I'm already overwhelmed with the number of photos and projects I'll want to do from here on out ... never mind the past years' photos!

Hi Ali,
I have been putting off my nephew's wedding layout because I sent photos to everyone, which sometimes makes me feel like I've already "done" a big part of the sharing of memories.

yummy stuff! i have TWO vacation trips i keep putting off as i have always hesitated to start a mini album for fear i could never do them 'justice'. i also have a mounting pile of zoo trip photos that i recently thought would work great to start in an album that i can keep adding to each trip and watch the kids and scenery change. :)

I have been putting off a mini album of our trip to the zoo for my 2 year old simply because I don't seem to have the time right now!

There are a bazillion projects that I keep putting off mostly because I get overwhelmed and then end up taking another job on. The project that I want to start (but of course something keeps coming up) is a family tree mini album. I have these adorable tree shaped chipboard albums by love elsie and they are way cute, but I am afraid to just jump in. I am trying to figure out how far I want to go back, what family do I include (immediate, extended, etc.) choices, choices, choices....I have been reading up on some mini album books to get started what a great chance to get some practice!!!!
Thanks Ali!! Hope you are feeling great!!!

Oooohhh - I want to win! The project I have been putting off is a wedding album for some friends of mine. The biggest reason that I have been putting it off is because I don't have the pictures - I'm just doing the pages sans pics and that is hard. I just need to get started and then I know it will flow. Thanks for the chance to win!

I've been putting off an album from our trip to the Brickyard 400 and a mini travel album for our upcoming cruise. Why? I guess the excuse I'm using is this year has been way too hectic (work and personal). I plan on getting them done during a Marathon 2 day crop next month!

I have been putting off a project for a friend since I want it to be just right for her. I am doing an 8x8 albun for her of photos of her family and ours since she doesn't scrapbook herself.

I've been putting off starting my infant son's album. He's only a couple weeks old right now, so it seems silly that I'm saying this, but I've been wanting to put together a layout for each month of his first year in advance since early in my pregnancy, but I can't decide on a paper theme for his album.

I am putting off making layouts about my 2006 wedding. I want to do casual layouts that tell the story behind the wedding, but I am intimidated. And I'm forgetting about all the little details, too!

I feel like I am putting off tons of projects to be honest. I know that one I've been putting off is finishing my trip to Israel and Greece that I took literally days after I graduated from college. There is just so much info and so many pictures that I feel overwhelmed. I started them using just cardstock, two stamps and my favorite black pen but still feel overwhelmed by the amount of things I still have from the trip and all the pictures. Maybe a mini book higlighting my favorite would be a better way to do it but I want both- the mini book which sounds easier and the large album with all the details I don't want to miss.
