Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I started into a Winter acrylic album at a class in February. Featuring photos of my two children over three winters. I started off with a dark blue paint dauber on the edges and I don't like what I have done so far. Lacking courage to go on.

I have been putting off finishing my Bahamas vacation album from last year because i decided that I didn't have to do everything in 12x12 and so now I 'm wondering if I should start all over and do a mini album.

I was really inspired by your printer's tray project. I picked up an awesome one on a family reunion trip for all of the pictures I had taken (165). I am putting it off because I usually crop and print my own photos and I just don't have it in me to sit down and get it done. The tray is there, the photos are there. I'll get to it on of these days:)

I have everything from our Summer vacation to Seattle and Vancouver in a bag ready to make that mini book. I've even cover the book with paper, but can't seem to get motivated to finish it up! I know I can do it, but who knows when???

I have been planning a clear mini album for a while. I have a small one, and an idea of what I want it to be about, but am worried it won't look as good in real life as it does in my head! I am dertermined though, that it will get done SOON! Thanks for the great idea of using paint as an adhesive - that just got me a little more inspired to take the plunge.

I have been putting off doing an album on my trip to Australia (almost 20 years ago now!). With two young kids and all the pictures I take of them and scrap, I haven't left a lot of time to get my own scrapping done. Soon....

The year-in-review pages... Totally overwhelming to me. I'm not sure why.

My daughter turned 11 years old in August. I have been wanting to do a layout or even a mini book for her 10th birthday (a "DECADE PAGE") but I have been putting it off because there is so much to say and soooo many pictures to choose from. Help!

I've been putting off my daughter and second son's baby albums because I haven't finished my first sons. I keep thinking that I need to finish one in order to start another, but time just flies by ...

I have been putting off an album for a trip I too FOUR years ago. I think I am going to make a photobook for it though using some "simple" templates and journaling (I kept a journal on the trip so that should make it easy).
Love the acrylic albums!!

Okay, confession time. I hadn't done any kind of crafting because my craft room got too messy and overwhelming. After many months of being in denile, I finally got to work and organized it last month. It felt good to craft again... I really missed it. My soul missed it. Due to your site, I get plenty of inspiration!! Thanks and blessings to you!

I have been putting off working on the album about my Dad. There are lots of excuses, but what it really boils down to, is that it's still painful. It's been more than a year since he died so suddenly, but it still hurts. I miss him.

my baby boy's newborn pics. don't know if it's so much "putting off" as finding a "spare moment" to do it. I still haven't finished my oldest boy's newborn pics, and he's 3!!!

Ugh! You had to remind me!
I have been putting off a painting- I have the cradle back boards all primed up, my idea all drawn out- more than enough paint, etc...
but no mojo.
Any chance you will be giving away some mojo soon?
Now that it's on my mind... It can't hurt to at least dust it off, right?
Thanks for putting this back in my thoughts- hubby may actually get his christmas present this year!
