Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

1st day of school...
Why? Because if I scrapbook it that means I really have to accept that my only child, my little girl, really *is* growing up...
And I'm just not ready to do that.

I have SO many projects I have been putting off. There are two at the moment. One is doing a mini album. Being a digi girl, I have always LONGED to do mini albums but never did. I have been feeling prompted to do it all the time. Those albums would be perfect LOL! My other project is knitting anything other than dishcloths. I want to be a knitter SO bad and yet I just do dishcloth after dishcloth. I won't get anywhere except being a fabulous dishcloth maker. And that's great but not good enough :D

I have put off finishing my youngest's (5) baby album because I am having too much fun doing tons of Today You albums for all 3 of my kids. I need to just sit down one weekend and make myself. Thanks for the inspiration. The Today you idea you gave me and my square punch are my favorite scrapbooking tools.

I have procrastinated about my wedding album...and we just celebrated our 20th anniversary! AUGH. I am so afraid that I will do the album, then soon after see an album/design/idea that I like SO MUCH BETTER! Perfectionism is my nemisis!!

I've been putting off many of the things that happened years ago. I love doing the current memories, the journaling is easier and the events are fresh in my mind. I have several scrapbooks I want to do for Christmas and I've been putting those off also, but you know, it doesn't get easier. I keep putting them on my to do list, maybe one of these days.

I've been putting off starting scrapbooking at all. As an avid stamper & card-maker I have all the tools, techniques & ideas to start creating layouts and albums but the idea of actually starting to find photos to work with the concepts in my head is quite daunting.

Been putting off pics from trip to Africa in 2001. It was pre-digital age so won't take that long, books would be perfect!

I've been putting off doing pretty much anything I want to. I'm doing a craft show with a friend in a few weeks and EVERYTHING I've done for the past couple months has been for that. I'm looking forward to after the 4th when I can actually do something I want!
Thanks for the chance to win!

There are many projects I haven't finished due to finding the time/creative energy, but the one that I'd really like to finish for my sis is our summer trip to the Oregon Coast (these mini's would be perfect!).

I want to start by saying that I love coming to your site. you are always an inspiration. Congratultions on your 99.9% baby girl! My husband and I are expecting a baby girl as well, sometime around Christmas! So I know your excitement! Two years ago, we experienced what no parent should have to go through, and that was the loss of our 14 year old son. I have many scrapbooks that have been finished, but I have been putting off doing the last two years of his life. I start and then stop, too much emotion. (doesn't help being pregnant, the emotions seemed amplified 100%). I know that I will get through it, and finish it, just still very heartbreaking.

Hands down Christmas 2006. We travelled to see my grandparents in Missouri. I took WAY too many pics, and since it was my son's first time to meet his great grandparents..I don't want to rule any out. I wanted to do a mini album for it..but I have my pictures, my aunts pics, and my mom's pics to sort through. It's mind boggling the # of photos I have. :)

I started a scrapbook for my brother for his 30th birthday. He just turned 35 this year. I keep losing my momentum. I start it. I put it away. I get it out and re-do what I've already done. I put it away... See the cycle?! I need to finish it already!

I've been putting off scrapping of any kind. Mainly because I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have an almost two year old. His nap time has now become my nap time. :D

I had been putting off a "ME" layout b/c I felt I didn't have the perfect pic of just me. At the end of May, late in my pregnancy, I asked my sister to take some pics of me. Now, I just cropped out the bump and I have a "glowing" pic. No more excuses now.
Would love one of those albums to document our daughter's first days.

I always find your blog enlightening and entertaining. I have collected so many photos of past Christmases - both recent and long ago - but I just can't seem to get the mini album done. I need to make a goal of getting it done so we can all enjoy it this Christmas, and an acrylic album would be perfect. I have a basket by my front door in which I layer mini albums and putting this one on top would be so festive and mean so much.
