Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I'm been working on an album about me for a while now. It's going kind of slow because I don't have as many photos of myself as I do my kids. I'm sure a lot of women can relate. ~Flora

I've been putting off starting a "real" album that's just for me. I've made lots of minialbums, which I completely love, and have really enjoyed making a couple albums for my mom and dad.
The "me" album has been more on my mind lately, though, so I think I'm finally getting to the point where I'm ready to stop over-thinking it and start creating it!
Thanks for another great give-away option. :)

I have put off my wedding album...18 years. I have no idea why! I have paper/the album/pictures....it seems like I always find something more recent to scrap.

I have been putting off finishing my vacation 2007 album. I have it about 80% done, but I keep scrapping newer pictures as I print them.

I have been putting off doing a Christmas album. I have yet to scrapbook a Christmas photo. I am having a hard time coming up with a creative way to scrapbook years of photos that all look alike (except, of course, the people in them grow older.)
Love these clear albums!

Wedding album. Ali, you should write your next book on this subject. Sounds like I'm not alone in putting off this project. We all need your help and inspiration!!

I have been putting off doing an album of "your first day" of all my grandkids. I am waiting the arrival of a new granddaughter in December, so wanted to do them all at one time. It will be fun, as I have 3 grandsons and will now get to incorporate a little pink in there too.

I have been putting off pulling together a mini-album for my sister and my brother. I had a beautiful younger sister who was recently killed and that motivates me to celebrate my other two siblings as tributes to them, who both are also beautiful individuals....it's just hard to get over the sadness. I think once I get focused and do my intended projects it will help relieve some grief.

I am putting off scrapbooking anything for myself. I make all kinds of mini-albums for the grandparents. I know my DD (3.10) would LOVE to have albums of her own pics to look through... but I'm too intimadated to dig in. I think the solution is more mini-albums. I just bought the new hallowhimsy line from Imaginisce and I am going to make a halloween album for her annual halloween costume pictures. I think she will really enjoy that. And I don't have to stress about which pictures (easy to choose one from each year). Now I wrote it down... I have to do it... :O

It seems I am not alone, but I too have been putting off doing our wedding album, even getting the photos into photo albums seems to be an isue. I want it to be classic and simple but I am not sure whree to start. And the longer I leave it the less I will remember. Sigh.

I've been putting off finishing our Disney album from our trip in January. I took so many pictures that it seems overwhelming, because I do want all the pics to be in there. And of course it needs to look nice...oy.

It seems I am not alone when I say I have been putting off my wedding album. It seems like such a bit project. Since my anniversary is this weekend I have had it on my mind again to jump in and get it done!

Thank you Ali, for all the inspiration you share. It is hard to choose from my long list of projects that I have been putting off. I guess one of the ones near the top of the list is the "getting on the digital camera bandwagon" one. My P & S film camera died about 20 months ago, and so I have been using disposable cameras (sparingly) ever since. For scrapping I get photos of the grandkids from my daughters. Another project I will want to tackle is one of my #2 daughter (age 38, mother of a 5 yr old and 3 yr old) who is battling terminal cancer - so I want to do a "My Hero" LO/ or project. Thanks again - hope you are feeling well.

I've been putting off finishing our family album for my mom. It seems as if I finish it, then she'll give up and let her health issues put her in decline. I know the album will be wonderful (1/2 done) but somehow I'm avoiding working on it even when I have the time. I'm praying for encouragement to finish it to be able to see her enjoy it before she passes away. She's 81.

I think that right now I am completely and utterly overwhelmed with all of my photos and am putting off all of my albums. I have ideas and see such wonferful, inspiring creations, but I never seem to have the supplies, the creativity and the resources to complete them as I envisioned. I do love these new clear mini books, they look fabulous!

I've been putting off basically setting up my new scrapbook room in my new house. And I don't really have a reason why except it seems like such a huge task that I'm scared to even get started.
