Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.
[ Three Things is a weekly product series : check out the archives here. ]

Valentine's Day isn't a huge deal with me because I don't have a honey - but I work with children and so we do a big celebration with cards and heart shaped cookies and lots of pink and red. Fun!

My husband and I usually go out to a nice dinner, just the two of us. We spend more time just sitting their chatting than we do eating. Its a great time to catchup and spend some much needed Quality time, since we have very young children.
We will not be able to do it this year, since I am on bedrest and it is a week before I am due. We are planning on getting a baby sitter and having a nice quite meal at home together. <--this might end up being nicer than going out!

I usually make my family something pink or heart shaped for breakfast. They always get a box of chocolate and a homemade valentine about the things I love about them. Then for supper we usually have something pink or heartshaped again.

Hi Ali! This will be my first year married on Valentines Day. I am really excited about that. I think I am going to leave love letters all around our house with candies attached to each one. I have done this for every Valentines Day in the past, and I think it would make a great tradition.

Our son was born on Valentine's day, so we usually do the valentines' stuff in the morning with the kids (special heart shaped food, fun gifts at the table, etc) and then we do the birthday stuff in the evening. :) Makes for a fun day of celebration!

Almost 15 years ago, I was in my 3rd DAY of labor with DS #2 so every year I remind him how much I must love him to have gone through all that! LOL I always leave heart-shaped boxes of chocolates outside both (teenage) sons rooms so that's what they see when they wake up on Valentine's Day.

Since it's on a Saturday this year, I think we'll start with heart shaped pancakes or french toast and go from there. We always make a heart shaped cake. Last year, I did the 10 things I love about you book for each of the boys and my husband. They loved it! Thanks, Ali!

My hubby and I don't go overboard. We always get cards and make something special for dinner. I love making valentines day cards for my son's teachers.
Would love the chance to win.

I've never been much on celebrating Valentine's Day and this year will be the first year, since 1999, that I'll be single. However, I found the cutest digital brushes and stamps at www.designerdigitals.com called Love Bugs No.1, by Katie Pertiet. I drive a VW beetle, so I'm going to use these stamps to make valentines for my friends and family. Ali, I also have your digital love words, which I love!

Every year I head up a Val-o-gram program at work where you can send candy tied to a balloon to a co-worker for a $1 and all the money goes to charity. Love the great products you showcased!

I always make something special for my kids, cookies or cupcakes and get them a card. My DH and I don't go out but spend quality time together after the kids are in bed, watch a movie and have a glass of champagne.

Last year I made dinner and then we had a fondue feast. Lots of chocolate, marshmallows, graham crackers, and fruit. The kids loved it and so did we. Love all of the Valentine's items. Especially the photograph! Thanks for the chance to win and good luck with the new little one!

I'm afraid that, as a single person, Valentine's Day is "just another day". When my son was younger, it was fun to do a little something for him - but now that he is older he realizes the implications of a "romantic" day and it a bit "weird out" with any type of "Valentine" greeting.

My boyfriend and I usually spend Valentine's Day together by cooking for each other. He takes a part of the meal and I take the other...nothing too fancy, but something that warms our hearts.
Thanks for the giveaways Ali!

Great give-aways Ali! My husband & I could choose to go out to dinner & a movie on our own, but we choose to take the girls (9 & 3) out for dinner on Valentine's Day. We like to involve them too!! We make Valentine cut-out cookies & decorate them & we make special Valentines for the girls to give to their classmates & friends.

My husband and I usually do something low key, but this year is the first year with a baby at home (well last year he was three weeks old, and that didn't count, because we were sleep deprived and I couldn't tell you what day it was for awhile there!) so I'd like to get a sitter and do something special, outside of the house, just the two of us, reconnecting a little. :)

We celebrate differently each year, but one thing that sticks out in my memory regarding Valentine's Day is when I was in college and dating a boy (who is now my husband) that I really liked a lot (that's why he's my husband!), and to express how much I cared about him on that special day I woke up super early in the a.m. and snuck over to his apartment building, walked around back finding the window to his bedroom (thankfully he lived on the ground level) and proceeded to stick numerous hearts all over his window (that I had cut out the night before - and this was before I knew about punches and die-cut machines mind you!) and attached a sign along with the hearts reading, "You've been heart attacked!"...when he woke up later that morning and opened his curtains, that is what he saw, a whole bunch of pink and red hearts! =)
Thanks for reminding me of that sweet memory!
