Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

Oh, I just love your Valentine's Day stamps, Ali! They are awesome!!
I always make some kind of chocolate treat for my chocolate-loving DH and a special, favorite dinner. And I love to decorate with lots of pink, red and hearts!

We celebrate by having a special dinner at home. We set the table, get out the good dishes and talk. The kids love it and so do we. I also give my children little gifts in their lunch pails and under their pillows. My parents made V day very special for me so I want to make it special for my boys.
Happy {heart} day!

We are big on family dinners for just about any occasion that I can think of and Valentine's Day is no different. I like to serve heart-shaped meatloaf, pink mashed potatoes and a very loving desert. I have some small heart shaped dishes that are perfect as decoration and then desert plates. I finish off the table with purple (my favorite) or pink roses. My boys (6 & 8) think the whole meal is a little too girly but I love it. They do actually look forward to the whole thing.

We started a new tradition last year where we make a giant fondue meal for dinner. It is fun since its something we hardly ever do and we try to get creative with the dips and dippers to fit in with a Valentines theme.

Hi Ali,
I'm so glad to hear that your meetings were good!
I enjoy Valentines Day so much more now that I have children. I love making them heart shaped pancakes for breakfast and talking about love all day. Making valentines and eating message hearts.
It's so fun to do all the fun crafty kid stuff with them. I love the projects they bring home from school, along with the valentines from their classmates.
It's all so fun and sweet

My husband and I do something nice for each other (it always varies - this year I'm going to make him a mini-book of all the things I love about him) and I always make Valentine cookies to give to friends. Two of my brothers are away from home this year, so I'm planning to mail them some cookies, too.

As a kid, my dad ALWAYS brought flower, candy and stuffed animals home for his three girls, my mom, my sister and I. I love hearts so I get in to decorating a bit for valentines day and making special cards for family and friends. I think that valentines is not just about romance but about love too so I look at it as the perfect opportunity to make handmade cards for friends and family telling them how much I love them. Oh, and I always do some special baking!

I have three little boys so for them and my hubby I make a special candlelight dinner and we all stay home together to celebrate. My husband and I stopped going out by ourselves on Valentine's Day once the boys were old enough to know what it was. They wanted to be a part of it and they love the the "fancy" (as they call it) dinner by the glow of the candles. Before Daddy gets home, the boys(ages 2 years and 6 year old twins)and I all make a heart shaped cake with sprinkles for our dessert.
After dinner, the boys "lavish" mommy with handmade cards and sometimes chocolates or flowers. Nothing big..the cards are the best! They put so much love and effort into them and I always save them away. But the chocolates don't last very long!!
It is a very sweet and special night!

Valentine's day usually includes hand made paper valentines (for both of us...my husband gets out the paper and glue stick, too!), fondue by the fireplace, and champagne. Simple, quiet, and not a big deal. (Kind of what we usually aspire to, actually!)

When my daughters were young we had so much fun making valentines for their friends and teachers. Now that they are grown and have moved away, I make them valentines, trying each year to out-do the one from a year earlier. I still love every minute of it, and rejoice when they tell me their friends are awed at my creations.
