Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

I have two sons - 6 and 8 years old and I set the kitchen table up the night before (so when they wake it they see it right away). I put all kinds of red and white and love things (even use my punches and stamps for hearts). I also get them each one of those smaller chocolate boxes. You know the cheap kinds that are plastic with only a few pieces in it. They can have a piece before breakfast if they want to. :)

My son and I make a heart-shaped chocolate cake for daddy. Vince also practices writing his name on homemade tags that get attached to school treats. Plus we take a photo of him holding a Valentine sign that says "I love you" and send it to relatives. I love doing all the fun stuff.

I always get a little gift for my kids and husband....usually something red or valentine related. AND, I always leave it on the front porch and ring the doorbell! Love it! My kids are 16 and 19 now, but still get v-day love from me! My son is away at college this year, but he will be receiving a valentine package in the mail!

We celebrate with just a sweet kiss and and an "I love you," - just a short, sweet reminder of how wonderful life is together.

When my kids were younger I'd make a big deal out of the day. I've decided I really miss that so this year I'm gonna do some special stuff. Homemade Valentines to each of my family members, a yummy breakfast and maybe some love notes hidden around the house. We'll probably have a fun family night out, too!!

Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday, I think. We make heart shaped cookies for the teachers at school, decorate little cards for friends and my husband and I have a date night at home with a dinner and movie just for us after the kids are in bed.

My husband and i always try to find some time just for ourselves on valentines day, its getting a little more difficult now with the baby :) My most favourite memory was February 14th 2004 when a white stretch limousine appeared outside my door in which my husband (then boyfriend) proposed to me :)))

Early on, my husband and I decided that going out to a nice restaurant on Valentine's Day was not our cup of tea. When our kids got older(they now are 9 & 12), we found it was fun to go out as a family to family-friendly places which weren't nearly as crowded. This year, the holiday falls on Saturday so we are planning on doing some service in the community (either a day helping at the foodbank or a beach clean-up adventure) followed by our traditional family dinner out.

For Valentine's day each of my children receive a new pair of P.J.'s and a giant Hershey's Kiss. It has been good to hear from them that they look forward to this special treat. : )
And WOW, what a generous giveaway! Thank you for the opportunity. : ) Enjoy your day.

When my kids were much younger I loved buying a big heart balloon "bouquet" and used that to take adorable pictures. Of course, they'd all be dressed in red. Now that they are 16, 14 and 10, it seems I haven't done it in the last few years. I think this might be the year to bring it back.

Hmmmm, Valentine's Day doesn't get a huge following in our house, although every couple of years my hubby does something BIG, like driving 17 hours to surprise when we were doing the "long distance" thing.

I'm not sure we have any traditions surrounding this holiday. In the past I've given themed 'i love you' books for the kids, and last year sewed heart-shaped hanging pockets to tuck notes inside. This year is still undecided. usually there is chocolate involved. maybe I'll read through the comments for ideas.
Thanks for the giveaway's Ali.

Being a single girl, I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. BUT this year I will be at a reception celebrating a friends marriage!

This will be my first Valentine's Day with my new husband so I really don't know what that will look like. Probably a nice dinner. :)
