Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

Clickin Moms : two, one-year memberships for their wonderful photography forums and tutorials. I know many of you are working on your photography skills and this may be just the place for learning and community with other creative people.

To be entered into today's drawing please leave a comment letting me know how you celebrate Valentine's Day. Do you do something special for your kids or other family members that has become a nice tradition from year to year? Comments will be closed tonight at 9pm with the winner's posted shortly after.

Since the birth of my son, Christmas has been too busy to send out cards, so I have been sending Valentines out to my girlfriends instead. I like to think that it makes the card super special because not many adults expect a card from a friend for Valentines Day, and all the love paper is so fun and beautiful.

Valentine's Day is actually my FAVORITE holiday. Of course...I love to make Valentine cards, Valentine cupcakes, put up Valentine decorations. This year I want to make a few handmade goodies to send to some friends and family. And now with my daughter, she makes her Valentine cards. And she always gives Grandma flowers. I love this holiday because it reminds us to tell our loved ones......that we love them!

My husband is a restaurant manager so he always has to work on Valentine's Day. Now that the kids are a little older it's more difficult to excite them but I thought this year I would wake up early and make them a totally red and pink themed extravagant breakfast. I also think I'm going to make them do handmade valentine's this year instead of picking a box out at Target.

We usually celebrate Valentines day for several days. Each member of my family plans a little activity for our family. We have a love scavanger hunt and we make heart shape pancakes and cookies. We just make it fun without spending a lot of money

My sister and I have had little Valentine's Parties for years. It would be just us and our kids. We would bake little treats and buy presents but the rule was you couldn't spend more that $10 and you had to buy as many gifts(or make)as you could without going over the limit.

My dad always gave each of us girls in the family a present because we were his Valentine's. Now with my kids, cupid comes to visit just like Santa Claus. We have a little mailbox that we leave out for cupid the night before Valentines Day and during the night cupid comes and fills the mailbox with Valentines and little treats for the kids. He also leaves a red or pink balloon tied on their chair at the table so that breakfast is fun and festive. We usually have something pink for breakfast like pink pancakes in the shape of a heart.

For Valentine’s Day my Mom used to make cinnamon buns before my brother and I got up in the morning. Throughout the day we would usually find a Valentine’s note or a mini pack of Hershey’s in our backpacks. Now that we have both moved out and gone to university we usually find a Valentine’s themed care pack in the mail. At 22 and 19 we still love getting Valentine’s wishes from our Mom!
