Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

I LOVE Valentine's Day.... whether I have a Valentine or not :) I love making cards and presents for everyone I love....and when I am teaching, and Valentine's Day comes around, nothing beats a huge party full of sweets and cheesy cards!

Oh, I've always loved Valentine's Day, but it mostly seems to get lost in the shuffle since my birthday is the day before. I do make up Valentine's gift bags for the kids and a handmade card for my hubby.
I loved the scavenger hunt idea posted above. I may do that this year. My kids are young enough they don't remember what we've done in the past! It's a great time to start a new tradition!
Thanks for the chance to win!

My husband and I always go away to a darling bed and breakfast, but now that we have a son, I'm looking for ways to make it a happy day for him as well. I'd like to write a special Valentine's letter to write to each of them.
My mom and dad would always get me a special present on Valentine's day, and that has always stuck with me. One year they even had a little plant in a red pot, with pretty ribbons sent to me at school, and I still remember how special I felt that day, even after all of this time.

Valentine's Day is the anniversary of my first date with my husband, so it's always a special day for us. Now, we have a special dinner (with kids, of course) at home and each of us get little treats... just candy or trinkets. It just great to be together.

Valentines Day in my house is very low key... a special homemade dinner and a yummy dessert (and dessert is rare in our house!) with just my husband and child. We usually exchange handmade notes.

We celebrate the day with the children and have a special breakfast and dinner. DH and I always go away for a weekend around Valentine's Day so that we can celebrate together also.

Hi Ali! I usually celebrate Valentine's day very casual... I college and after I always worked at a restaurant on V day. Now, it's time to enjoy the company of my boyfriend. We usually make dinner together and watch a movie. And, this year I hope to send out photo cards rather than making them this year with our new address!! Thanks!

I set little goodies out on the table so they are @ their places when the kids and hubby wake up. The past 3 years we have gone to a fundraiser for the American Heart Association on V-Day, it is a work social, but also ends up being a fun excuse to dress up, AND a good cause!!

I make something crafty at home and at work in my kindergarten classroom. We always make sweet treats to share with each other and loved ones. We leave little notes around for each. Love the day and the sentiments.

This will be our 3rd Valentine's since our wedding. The first was spent with our Son in the NICU and the second I was in WA state and DH was in Iraq. So this year it will be nice to just get a stress free hug and kiss and maybe a nice dinner together after the little guy goes to bed.

Unfortunately, Valentine's Day is not a holiday we celebrate much here in Australia. This being said... I never fail to tell my family every day that I love them and Valentine's Day will be no exception.

Our Valentine's Day is always a whirlwind of sweets and laboriously signed cards to send in to two little boy's classes, small treats exchanged and a yummy dinner to celebrate the day! So much to celebrate!

Valentine's day is my second favorite holiday (Xmas is first)- so i always make a big family dinner and the kids are included-the resturants are just too crazy this night anyway- and they help me make a special pink or red dessert. Family means love- so this holiday is about everyone in our home!

We have tried to simplify this holiday to bring it back to a focus on each other and our love and not buying all these gifts, chocolates, etc. We typically have a nice dinner at home and a yummy dessert. Usually cards and a small box of chocolates are exchanged. To me its the thought, not how much he can spend on me.

The kids and I bake heart-shaped sugar cookies and decorate them with red, white, and pink frosting. Mmmmm!

My husband celebrates a surprise Valentine's day. We don't celebrate on the 14th of Feb. But one night in the year, dear hubby surprises me with a wonderful day/night out to celebrate us.
I love it

My husband and I weren't big fans of Valentine's Day long before we met. I hate how commercial it is. So we never celebrate it. But now that we have kids (the oldest is 3, so he's just now to the stage where he understands that it's Valentine's Day), I think that we'll do a little something for the wee ones:) I'm just not sure what to do as of yet:) We celebrate Sweetest Day, instead. The popularity of that day is beginning to climb, though... so we'll see ;)
