Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

We currently don't have a Valentine's Day tradition. I'd like to start one though, maybe watching a movie together as a family or going out to dinner. I've never sent Valentines to family before, but I might this year.

I usually gift my kids with something they might like...it needs to be red or pink in color. For my husband, I make or find a mushy card.

My grandson, who lives just up the road from me, always helps decorate heart-shaped cookies for Valentine's Day. He takes some home to his mom and dad. He also makes hand-stamped cards (with a little help from me)to give to special people in his life, including one for me. I really enjoy creating things with him!!

Every year I have mom's annual Valentine's Day party. It has become a pretty big event in our family...heart-shaped pizza, heart-shaped cake...games...presents. I hope they never outgrow it!

Couple of things come to mind.
My children receive a small token of our love from my hubby and I, always a piece of jewelry with a heart somewhere. They ahve quite the collection from lockets to charms & everything in between. I also try to mail a valentine (either handmade or store-purchased) to my nieces and nephews.
Love all these products, thanks Ali!

Every year my kids make Valentine mailboxes out of milk cartons. My husband and I always order each other a box of truffles from Betsy Ann Chocolates in Pittsburgh

Valentines Day if a fun time around here. I make the kids breakfast in everything pink or red : pink milk, pancakes with strawberries on top and even let them have a pink cookie. They also get a little gift relating to Valentines Day. It is a fun time

Together my sons and I make Valentines for their classes... we use all my stamps and "fancy paper" they love it... then off to the kitchen to make heart shaped cookies on a stick for their class parties... such a mess by the end... but so much fun!

My hubby & I buy cards, but no gifts for each other. We do usually get a gift for our daughter - this year she is getting cute cupcake pj's!

We're having a late Valentines Day this year. Our removalists arrive to pack up all our belongings to move from Australia to Oregon so it will be too busy to actually take some time out to celebrate. Instead we're stopping off for two days in Hawaii at the beginning of March and we'll celebrate the start of our new life back in America. I can't wait!!

We love Valentine's Day at our house. We have a tradition called "Cupid". Grampa started it when the kids were toddlers and we have continued it because they loved it so much.
On Valentine's night the doorbell rings every 5-10 minutes with a treat and a card on the doorstep for all four of my kids. The cards are signed differently each time: Love, Mom; Love, Cousin Josie; Love, Your Secret Admirer; Love, A Friend, etc. They are all from me and their dad, but they don't know that! They just think everyone comes to their door all night long. :D It's really fun to see how excited they get waiting for the next little goodie!

since Valentine's Day is also my wedding anniversary all I really try to do is spend it reminding my husband who loves me so well that I would be lost without him. Actually...everyday is a good day for that kind of reminder:)
