Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

We celebrate our anniversary! It will be seven years for us this Valentine's day. I love getting treated to a fancy dinner, a nice bottle of wine, and some uninterrupted "just the two of us" time!

We usually make hand made valentines for the family and school friends and some sort of cookies and chocolates.

Flowers, dinner, the regular. But my honey and I usually cuddle and list reasons why we love each other. It sounds so cheesy admitting it out loud but its completely wonderful. It's funny to hear some of the things he pays attention to that I never realize I did but its a great feeling to know why. :)

Just cards and kisses, usually. This year may have some special celebrating, if our grandson waits to be born on the 14th instead of the 4th.

Hello Ali,
We have no V-Day tradition yet, but this year we'll be going out to dinner, a few days early, at Disney World - our 1st family trip there.

I make handmade Valentines for my family including my Grandma and my Uncle Jeff. I really hope they feel how much I love them when they receive them in the mail on a cold February afternoon! :)

Our household does not celebrate valentine's day anymore. We use to. Now, after reading some of the comments on the board, I just might try the heart shaped pizza! Thanks for sharing ladies.

My daughter was born on Valentine's Day 25 years ago! We have always celebrated this as her special day so that she's been the center of attention rather than celebrating Valentine's Day. DH and I would have our Valentine's celebration dinner/flowers on the weekend following her birthday.

I get my kids a little something and try to sneak out of the house so I can ring the doorbell and run. They open the door to find a sweet surprise!

We usually spend Valentines day at home with a nice homecooked meal and wine and maybe a chick flick. With all of the running around we do all year long it is nice to take 1 day and plan on doing nothing but enjoying each other.

Each year my husband and I get a Ledo's pizza- my favorite. He is a CPA, so it is a busy time of year at our house. It's nice to have time alone with him and with my favorite pizza. They don't deliver so he picks up and then he lights candles. THis year is our first year as parents, so we'll have to start some new traditions with our daughter who is 9 months old. Maybe I'll find some ideas heree!

Valentine's Day is the one day I can give my boys PINK and it's okay! :) I can also scrap PINK! :) I leave out special treats on the table in the morning, usually a heart shaped box of candy (they love them!) or tin of mixed bulk candy that I've "crafted" up cute. They also usually get some sort of a plush animal/toy. I make them each their own personalized valentines and then we do a mini photo-shoot with them and their valentine's. They really "ham it up" for this shoot and I love it!
For dinner I try to serve all pink/red items and have something yummy for dessert (which we don't usually have so it's a big deal). I make my husband something special in my craftroom, usually declaring my everlasting love and gratitude for God giving him to me :)

I love Valentines' Day. I love to cook something chocolate and make it in a heart shaped pan such as cake, cookies or even brownies. My husband shows up with a new plant, something fun to do or we watch a movie. Whatever we do, we make time to be alone and remember how blessed we are to have a 19 year marriage.

I usually send my parents a valentines card. For my fiance I usually make a nice dinner and have some 101 time with him. Last year I made your little "I love you" album.

When my girls were little we spent the week before Valentine's Day making cards for all of their classmates and friends. After the cards were all finished we would bake special cupcakes or "heart" cookies for their classmates. Then we would have a special dinner with a small gift basket of cute treats (usually socks, a colouring book and some candies) for them.
Now that they are older and a long way away at University I send them a box a week or two before the holiday with all the stuff to make some Valentine's card for their friends and the makings for a special treat for themselves for dinner along with a few chocolates tucked in. While I miss them at the holidays this at least makes us all feel like we are connected by the old traditions. Dianne

I've made heart shaped snacks all day for my kids as part of a tradition. We have heart shaped sandwiches, hamburgers which dont always hold their shape and heart shaped pancakes for breakfast. The kids that go to school get to join in when they come home!

Hi there,
We try and have some red/pink food with dinner, followed up by heart shaped jelly/jello for dessert.
Last year my son gave a card to every girl in his class, plus his kindergarten teacher, because 'they were all so beautiful'. Aaawww, how cute.
I think Americans go harder on all the holidays that we do here in Australia so when my son gave out all those cards, most people were pretty taken back.
