I love swimming in the summer, floating in the pool with a cool lemonade in my hand, and the sound of children's laughter.

Not having to get up quite so early to get the kids on the bus. ;) Oh, and the sun!

Not really summer but I enjoy planting flowers with my daughter who is 9. We go to the store pick out all kinds of annual and go home and get dirty. We get to watch them grow and enjoy the satifaction of doing it together.

I love how easy going the summer months are. No rushing around to practice, then homework, then off to bed and then get everyone up and do it again the next day.
We sit out on the patio longer. Each in the porch and watch people walk by. Spend time just being a family. Love it!

Blue sky, warm breeze, grass between my toes, and a tall glass of ice cold lemonade...

Evenings spent relaxing with my family on our front porch swing - the four of us can barely fit in it anymore, but I still love it.

My favorite thing about the summer months is those sunshine-y days that seem to last forever. I love that the days are longer, and those days that are full of sunshine make me want to sit out on my deck with my flip flops and iced tea.

My favorite thing about the Summer months - the farmers market, fresh produce and flowers. A close second is being able to have my morning tea out on the deck in the early morning.

My favorite thing about the summer is the freedom to do what ever we went, let the kids go to bed later than usual (not hat late though) not having to wake up to an alarm and never ever ever having to look at a watch.

No schedule unless WE decide to have a schedule. Kids on bikes, barefoot in grass or bay, fresh fish for supper, long days, hermit crabs, sea urchins, pool toys scattered on deck - ahhh!

I love that it stays lighter later in the summer... I come home from work with much more energy and get things done or just sit outside and enjoy the time :)

It's funny, as a homeschooling mom, I can't wait for school to be over to be able to spent fun time with the kids. It seems like most public school parents can't wait for the summer to end so their kid go back to school!
