My favorite thing about summer is being able to sit outside in the evenings with fireflies blinking all around.

what is not to love about the summer...
everything agreeing to move a bit slower, lemonade stands, days spent at the pool, kids running in and out with their new nature discoveries, a cool breeze on a hot day, summer thunderstorm cooling off the area(if only for a bit), memory making trips, no homework, fresh cut flowers from the garden, evening bathes accompanied by a daily report of all things enjoyed . . . summer is grand!

It's hard to decide between grilling out...and my favorite of golfing! It gets really hard to wait for golf in the spring, I get an itch to get out there!

Living in a northern climate, what I love most about summer is watching my garden (vegetable and flowers) come to life. Ahhhh.

What I like about the summer months is watching my garden grow, going up north, enjoying my children all day as the relax and enjoy each other, baseball, having friends and family over...

Grilling out -- and just hanging out on the deck enjoying good music.

Going to the lake....sleeping in a bit....reading a book in the sun. Camping, traveling, everything green. Summer is my least favorite season (because of the heat) but it definitely has some good stuff!

I like the non-scheduled days of summer, an easier way of getting from morning to evening. And yet at the end of the summer, I long for the structure that fall brings.

My favorite thing about summer is the change of pace (it is just a little slower than the school months! ha, ha!) and the smell of the BBQ grill getting fired up!

My favorite thing about the summer months is being able to play outside. The kids love playing in the sprinklers and I love watching them. :) Also cooking is a whole lot easier, just throw some stuff on the grill and let it cook, can't complain about that :)

I love more time with my family. Even though my children are teenagers most of our scheduled things include the four of us - helping at Vacation Bible School, trips with the church youth group, bbqs, swimming. I am blessed.

I love the sun setting late and the sound of the crickets at night. Sitting on the deck sipping iced tea and watching the 4th of July fireworks.

I love summer because my kids can go outside and play without the bother of snow boots, coats, etc. Then I especially love when they come back in and they smell like sunshine and dirt and sunscreen. My favorite!

I love doing messy crafts outside with the kids and washing off in the sprinkler or wading pool.
