I can't wait for summer and I feel as eager for it as I did when I was a kid. I am most looking forward to spending the summer with my kids, 8 and 10. They are so fun to hang out wtih and explore and discover with. We have a list going of the things we'd most like to do this summer. My 8 yo dd has "splat painting" high on her list.... She wants to fill balloons with paint and break them over a canvas. My son wants to learn how to make bread. 3 1/2 weeks left of school and then we're off!

Ilove the looong days and the feeling of relaxation from having a less stressful schedule.

Without a doubt, favorite thing is the much later sunset! I feel like my days are twice as long and I love sitting out on the patio after dinner with a glass of wine with the hubby watching the sun set.

My favorite thing about summer is being outside...cookouts, hikes, sitting on the porch in the morning and evening...and of course chasing the ice cream truck LOL! Thanks!

I love warm summer nights... especially in CA.

I have so many favorites about summer, but I think my absolute favorite is walking barefoot through the grass in the morning when its sprinkled with dew.

My favourite thing about summer is being able to be outside with the kids. Our summers are short and not very hot but we certainly enjoy them here in eastern Canada.

the absolute best thing about summer for me is that my kids are home all day with me!! We have lots of family time and then there's our vacation. I am always sad when September comes and they have to get back to their routine.

We love swimming & tubing in the river, gardening, having picnics & bbqs, going to the beach, riding rollercoasters at king's dominion...can't wait!

I am a school teacher...enough said! Actually I love my job, but there is something so great about a job that has a renewal time, a sense of starting over, a chance to make new goals and try new things.
I still love the time off to be with my children, some days that is harder than being at school. It is so great to have time with them that is peaceful and not so schedule driven.

My favorite thing is - I actually get more time to scrap! Since both my kids are at home during the summer, we piddle around quite a bit in the afternoons - they play, and I play (in my scraproom!) a lot more than during the school months.

Not being in school so I have more time to do the things I don't usually get round to, including scapbooking. Although this year my Summer will be full of waiting to see if I've got the grades for my top choice Uni

My favorite thing about summer are the LONG days. It is so easy to forget about time when you are out playing in the evening with your family, doing yard work (tending to the beautful and colorful flowers that you planted), or sitting back sipping a lemonaide and soaking up the last of the sun sitting in your own backyard. The next thing you know, it's nearly 8:00 and no one has bugged you about dinner...What is it about the summer, that reduces your appetite?

Although I love the extra sun, my favorite thing about summer is the fresh berries. Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and every other kind of berry that ripens under the summer sun.

My favorite thing about summer is less stress and my kids having fun outside. I had the most amazing summers in my neighborhood when I was little, cookouts, swmimming, a wonderful popsicle man named Charlie. :) I just love the laid back feeling that comes from summer. :)

When I was a kid I loved going swimming everyday and boating on the river...that is what summer was. Now that I live in Arizona and there really isn't rivers and lakes to go boating in and no one is too active in the summer due to the heat, I find my self missing that so much!

I love the way I feel like a kid again! The blue skies, carnivals, ice cream, everything makes me feel like a kid again.
