I am so excited to be moving from a condo to a house so that I can garden this year!

Texas summers are scorchers and I'm not a warm weather gal, so summer has never held much appeal to me. But I'm a die-hard baseball fan, and my team only plays in the summer, so I've come to find some bit of joy in these months. There is nothing so exciting as sitting along the first base line with hot dog in one hand and Chipwich ice cream sandwich in the other, cheering on my team to victory. The smell of the dirt, the crack of the bats, the pure joy of this timeless pasttime makes even the heat worth it.

My favorite thing about summer is getting to spend relaxing time on the lake. I love boating and the wind just blows all my cares away....it is incredible!

My favorite thing is feeling warm. I am cold all winter. I love being able to walk outside in sandals. Love it!

Wow! I forgot it was Wednesday! What a great giveaway! There are so many things that I love about the summer months. Camping, grilling, campfires, the beach, picnics, long evenings...

Sitting on the patio with my husband, enjoying a drink and conversation in the warm evenings.

Sitting outside on the patio until 9pm and not being in complete darkness! and the complete lack of a schedule for each day.

My favorite thing about summer is my daughters birthday in July.

I love that after getting the kids to bed it's still light out and I can get my yard work done!

One word -- WATER!!! I love to be in it, on it, and drink more of it. It's just not the same here in Chicago during the winter months :-)

I love how long the days seem. You wake up to the birds chirping and can sit out on the deck until after 9! It just seems to give you so much more energy. Oh and I love all the fresh produce - veggies and fruits that you can enjoy right from your own backyard.
