Every other year our whole family meets at the N.J. shore for a week-long reunion. This is our year!

The best thing... being able to sit outdoors.

My favorite thing about summer is air conditioning!!! Living in South Texas, it gets HOT...we are already seeing near 100 degree days. Plus it just seems that life and work are more relaxed in the summer months even though things are still just as hectic and busy.

I love the sleeping in...the ice cream man coming down the street...the pool...the woods being full of green again...the cookouts...and the neighborhood street party!!!!

Living in Florida, it is almost always summertime. In the actual summertime here it is so hot. I look forward to the evening when the blazing sun goes down and you might be able to catch a cool breeze and listen to the bugs buzz.

I love the get togethers! The bbq's, sitting on the deck, drinking lemonade and playing with the kids. I also love flip flops...

My favorite part of summer is summer vacation! Myrtle Beach here I come, 31 days and counting!

Sitting on my patio in the evening,smelling freshly cut grass and listening to the sounds of crickets and frogs.

I love the longer days, getting extra time with my step-children, and BBQ's!

my fav thing....the whole family hanging out at the poot while my hubby and i grill hotdogs and sausages on the grill...just hanging out all together!

I love being able to spend more time with my kids, because they don't have homework, and my work hours are shorter.

I love getting off the regular schedule and giving the kids more freedom. It's a time for kids to be kids so sleeping in, staying out to play later, or even eating dinner in their climber out in the the backyard. It's so nice to get off the everyday rush.

Being in Florida, I would say afternoon thunderstorms. They give a nice respite from the stifling heat, and makes everything seem fresh after.
