I love taking weekend trips with my kids and extended family to Bear Lake. We love just hanging out together, sitting around the campfire, watching stupid movies and eating lots of good food.

Living in Seattle...being able to wear a tank top after 6pm and not having to take a jacket to take an after dinner walk...it's light out until 10pm!!!!

Favorite thing about summer months? EASY! Unscheduled, unstructured TIME with my kids.....at 13, 15 and 17 there isn't much of that left!

I love the roughly 2 weeks of sunshine that we get in Washington (not all at once:)) - Just kidding!!! I love the time I get with both kids and the adventures that we have.

Summers in Phoenix are very HOT!! But July and August are monsoon season. So even though it is humid, there are chances of thunderstorms! I love thunderstorms!!

I love going to my lake cabin with my friends and family-the lakes in Minnesota are tremendously beautiful!

I enjoy the nice break from the school year routine; I get to sleep in a little bit because my daughter doesn't have to get up at 6 am to get ready for the bus. It's a much more relaxed atmosphere everywhere in our town since college students are gone. Just really "laid back" and that's a nice change of pace for a couple months!

Sleeping in. Period. End of story. I think summer, and having the schedule that allows me to work and be with my son is the reason I teach. Oh yea, the kids are nice too. :-)

My favorite thing about summer is the HEAT. I am a desert girl and love to get good and hot and then drink some lemonade.

More time with my kids, evening bike rides, no bed times. Summer, what is not to love?!
