I enjoy the longer days of summer. Spending time outside in the evening even during the week.

Besides the fact that we can live at the beach and wear flip-flops all the time, I love not having to worry about the kids having homework each night. We can get together with friends and hang out without worrying about getting to bed at a "decent" time for school the next day.

I have several favorite summer things:
1. Kids home and heading to the pool every afternoon.
2. Planting and harvesting our garden.
3. Heading to the farmer's market on Saturday mornings.

Oh I LOVE Summer...BBQs, family picnics, Dahlias blooming, 4th of July parades, laying in the grass & eating orange popsicles! :)

I love the possibility that comes from the days being longer...and the abundance of fresh fruit. =)

Hmmm... favorite thing about the summer months is relaxed hang out time with my kids and the option to go on 'field trips' to the zoo, a museum, the beach, for a walk or just stay home hanging around in our pjs. : )

I love going barefoot in the grass (with pretty painted toenails).

I love no set schedule, swimming, reading, seeing movies and popsicles!

Living on the West Coast, the best part of the summer months is the sun. Not too hot, just bone warming heat. Of course, for me summer months are defined as those with sun and heat, not necessarily those the calendar includes!

My favorite thing about summer is the freedom - nothing scheduled, endless possibilities for fun with the kids, and warm bright evenings to spend outside on the patio or just go somewhere fun at the spur of the moment.

Being a teacher, I love having the summer off! It is days and days full of investing time in my girls and building memories. This is also the time I get long hours to work on scrapbooking!
