i don't live to far from the beach so my favorite thing about summer is the beach. love going and spending time with the family.. eating watermelon.. and feeling the sun on my skin (with sunscreen of course)

i love......... sunshine when i wake up and that it's still light out when i go to bed. my husband grills dinner most every night (limited dishes to clean!). playing outside with my kids. having water-filled play dates with friends and their kids. going barefoot in the grass. wearing shorts. going for walks to the park. the sounds of laughter throughout the neighborhood. the smell of freshly mown grass. finding great bargains at garage sales. i could go on and on... but i'll stop there! :)

I love the slower pace of the summer months- unrushed morning hours and the afternoon swim.

The leaves on the trees, having my windows open, waking up to the birds singing and just enjoying nature.

One of my favorite things about the summer months is being able to lay in the hammock in the back yard and read a goot book or take a short nap while the children play.

My favorite thing about summer is sitting under our apple tree on a sunny day and reading a book with my daughters.

It's hard to pick only one favourite thing from summer, but I guess it would be going to our cabin on the lake and hanging out with family and friends... lounging on the beach, swimming, roasting marshmallows over the fire, BBQ dinners, and relaxing with a cold drink!

The best things about summer:
long days, which mean 8pm walks
sweeeeeeeeeeet tea
watermelon (with seeds, so you can spit them)
summer reads (the trashier the better)

Fresh cut grass in the morning with sunsets and long evening spent outside. Perfection!

My favorites about summer are grilling out, leaving the windows open, the flowers, and going to our cabin.

I LOVE that here in the Northwest it is daylight till almost 10 pm during the summer months. I love that it doesn't rain (much) and isn't too hot. I also love that my kids are home from school (I know that is probably strange).

Simplicity. Walk out the door in whatever you happened to have on. Stay home for the day. Or, make a last minute day trip somewhere. No schedules, no chaos. Just simple pleasures.

My favorite thing about summer is that it seems both endless (no alarm clocks or pressure) and fleeting at the same time. I always savor every minute with my kids because I know it will be gone in the blink of a lightening bug!

I love the long days. They allow me to enjoy the outdoors for just a little bit longer!

We have poor lighting on our patio so in the summer I get to sit outside after the girls go to sleep and knit. In the winter it is too dark outside at that hour.

There are oh so many things I love about summer. The kids playing in the backyard all day everyday, hours spent in the pool, hot beautiful weather, summer vacations, weekly Family Barbecues...Can it get any better?!

My favorite thing about summer months is iced drinks, scrabble, and citronella candles on the front porch with my honey.

I love the smell of summer...the way it smells after a night of rain, the green smell in the woods, the fresh ocean air, the smell of cut grass, and the smell of the air that moves through the open windows of the car.
