My favorite thing about summer is getting to go to our cabin on the weekend for downtime. The kids play so well out there together - no tv, no phone just good old fashioned imagination. It is so peaceful and relaxing for all of us.

The thing I love about summer is the warmth, the fun in the sun in the water and being outdoors whether is is camping or just hanging out by a bonfire at someones house.

What I love about summer seems to be all about the FOOD!! I live in Wisconsin, so that's when the brat (bratwurst) fry's start; sweet corn on the cob and BLT's with fresh tomatoes from the local Farmer's Market. YUMMY! :-)

I think that even though life doesn't change too much over the summer anymore (Gracie is in school/camp, Tom and I still have to work), there's still a sense of freedom and happiness that comes with summer. It's just that time of year that will always inspire a feeling of FREEDOM.

My favorite thing to do in the summer time is to take a early evening walk with my husband. By 7 or 8 the heat has cooled, the wind has died down and the weather is perfect. This is our time together. We love to either take a walk or sit on the back deck and enjoy a treat. Oh.. and I LOVE a good family bbq! Thanks for the contest Ali!

Summer means time with my sister and her family and I cannot wait! Our kids are all at a great age (1, 4, 5, and 7) so they all REALLY still love playing together. Park, library, zoo, water play in the back yard, popsicles, bubbles and chalk, bonfires and sticky s'mores, pool at my parents' house. Can't wait. Summer is definitely extended family time.
