my favorite thing about summer is sleeping in..and not having anything really planned..just sorta waking up and say..okay girls what do we want to do today...? A lot of the time our summer is SO planned out..that I treasure days with no plans!

My favourite things about summer are sleeping with the windows open and being woken early by birdsong - eating breakfast, lunch and dinner in the garden - seeing long lines of washing drying against blue, blue skies - My childrens voices happy and noisy, playing outside till way past bedtime - camping in the back garden or anywhere - My favourite thing about summer is EVERYTHING!

I love our two week motorcycle trips in July! Last year we drove all the way up to Canada from South Carolina and came back down along the east coast! It was awesome! This july we are going up the west coast! I can't wait!

The laziness - with my husband (a teacher) and daughter both home from school for the summer, there is a lack of urgency to the evenings and weekends.

My favorite thing about summer is relaxation. Everything seems to slow down giving me time to reflect and relax.

One of my favorite things about Summer is hearing the sound of lawn mowers. It reminds me of when I was a kid and every Saturday my dad would be out on the riding lawn mower mowing our acre of grass. I'd usually end up being assigned to make him ice tea and tuna fish sandwiches for lunch. And we'd sit out on the back patio eating together while he rested.

I LOVE having my girls (both age 10) home with me, and the freedom to just enjoy the day with no set schedule or homework.

Oh can I only pick one?? I love the sunshine, riding my bicycle, going to the beach, playing beach volleyball with my husband, but most of all- my garden. It's just like crafting but with a bigger canvas.

Love not having to rush out the door every AM-- pj's till noon if we want! Love the flowers also!

The feel of sun on the skin.

Healthier kids.

No school and out of state family visits.

I especially enjoy the looong hours of daylight. Here it's from around 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Love that!

Getting to hang out with my kids and just BE. I can't wait!

Camping and Float Trips!

I look forward to spending all day with my boys. I teach and will have the summer off.

Going hiking to see the wildflowers up at Mt. Rainier in late July/August. Just makes me happy.
