What I love about summer is taking walks at night when it is just starting to get dark, playing cards outside with friends and sitting outside at the ice cream store balancing out the workout I had that day!

I love the dirty fingers and toes of the kids after playing in the yard all day. I don't mind my cup of coffee in the patio in the mornings, either!

Simple pleasures like clear blue skies, beach days, ice lollies (popsicles) and gelato, sound of cicadas from the trees around Shanghai, lazy days, and Ts and shorts.

My favorite thing about summer is the laid back schedule. Eventhough I have to get and go to work at the normal time, we enjoy swimming at night, cathching lightning bugs and listening to the night sounds.

It seems silly, but one of my favorite things about summer is watching my two little girls run around outside in the sun. Makes remember to stop and enjoy their childhood.
