I look forward to the longer daylight hours so we can do more of our favorite outdoor activities.

It has to be the "Snow Cone". But we used to get it on a stick.
When I was growing up it used to come to our neighbourhood on a bike with a cart every afternoon. He then crushed the ice right in front of us and then asked us to choose the syrup from the wide selections from apple to orange to raspberry to lemon....Yummy.....
It was like a heaven. I miss it so much. I still eat it but to get it on stick with fresh ice was just out of this world. Summer for me is ice cone...

one of my favourite things about the summer is that nice tired feeling you get after a fun swim. it's the kind of tired where you want a little snack and nap on your towel on the deck. and the breeze... the breeze always feels so good!

I love daylight savings. That extra hour of sunshine in the evening is bliss.

My favorite things about summer months are flip flops, painted toes, popsicles and ice cream trucks and there jack in the box type music, sprinklers and wading pools!

When I have to be inside during the summer, I love having the windows open and listening to the kids running around and playing outside. It reminds me of my youth and those hot, sweaty, fun days of running, running, running.

Is there anything better than long summer evenings playing outside? Love the fresh air, the smell of fresh cut grass and barbeques and the sound of my kiddies having fun! {sigh}

sunshine! I'm already starting to feel better....

Easy enough.....waking up to a dry, warm morning...feeling the sunshine on my face...and smelling the lake water outside.

Since my son is completing kindergarten in a few days (I survived!!! :) I think that summer will mean something different for us. I'm looking forward to spending time together - at home and at the pool. Just relaxing with my little family.

my favorite thing about summer.....I absolutely love hearing the chirping of the crickets and the steamy mornings when I walk my dog....just thinking about it makes me happy!!!

I love, love, love the warm weather, not having to get up and go to work (I'm a teacher) and traveling in our pop-up trailer.

Going to the beach for Memorial Day weekend is a great way to start summer!

Summer for the past 23 years reminds me of the wonderful joy of childbirth. Both of my children were born in July. When the weather warms, it reminds me of them even as they are now away at college. No season ever makes me as happy as when I look into my son and daughters eyes. Hello Summer!

longer sun filled days full of sprinklers, swimming and all things WET to help us stay cool in the hot Arizona heat!

I usually look forward to trips to the local pool with my daughters; it's closed for renovation. Long summer ahead. But, I am anxious for warmer days, iced tea on the deck, a slightly more relaxed schedule and maybe a day trip to the beach.

My favorite thing about summer is the easy, laid back feeling. From that meaning flip-flops, to no hurrying home for school night bedtimes, to lingering outside because it's nice out....summer means ease....
