My favorite summertime memory was going to the local fair. Still love doing this with my kids!!! Nothing like cotton candy, rides, and petting zoos!

My fondest memories were trips to the beach. We would pack up some mats and blankets to sit on, some shovels and buckets, a cooler full of goodies and we'd BBQ on the beach, sit in the sun and splash in the waves.

today my favorite childhood memory is waking up late on a summer morning and wandering around in the dewy grass looking for my family... I found my granddad working in the flower garden. I got a scratchy hug... I remember the bright warm sunshine, wet feet, and wiskers on my cheek! Ask me tomorrow and I might tell you something else.

I have this great summertime memory with my family on the washington coast. My dad and I were building a sand castle when we came across this orange string. So we followed it, wrapping the string along a piece of drift wood as we went. I think we were hoping to find a kite at the end but in the end there was nothing but I still have the orange string on the piece of beach wood. :-)

My favorite childhood summer memory is rolling down the small freshly mowed hills in our yard with the scent of green grass and the itchy bits and pieces getting stuck all over ourselves then spraying it all off in the hose. GOod times!

playing outside in the cul de sac, riding our bikes, in the super warm southern California weather until it got dark.

When I was young my dad was ststioned at an air force base near Spokane, WA. I remember many early mornings that we spent on the canoe in one of the nearby lakes...I would drag my fingers in the water as he would slowly and silently maneuver the canoe around. It was beautiful. The sun would just be on the horizon, all golden and bright, the cattails and other water flora would be glistening in the morning air. I miss it.

Oh so many faves, but hanging on the line of katamaran's and blitzing along like I was flying above the waves while at the Jersey shore is definitely a top contenter or contender - depends how you see it;)

I loved playing under the old weeping willow tree in the backyard. The leaves made it seem like it's own little world. I'd take out a lawn chair and pretend to be camping out...I could spend hours out there playing and reading under the shade.

My favourite summer memory is going to my aunt's house for vacation. Every year as a child, my sister and I would be so excited to go that we would pack weeks in advance. My aunt always made us feel so special and loved - it didn't matter what we were doing, just as long as it was with her. I look back at that time with great fondness as she has unfortunately passed away from cancer. Although she is no longer with us, those feelings still remain, especially when I view my scrapbooking pages of that time.

Our family trip to Florida for March Break. I will always remember it, like leaving the crayons in the car and them melting lol. The swimming, Disney, Bush Gardens, the food, my cousins with us. It was a wonderful trip. I hope to plan something similar for my boys.
