My favorite memory is camping at Bodega Bay near San Francisco. We had an old style VW bus camper and went crab fishing and had bonfires on the beach :)

My favorite childhood memory is sleeping as late as I wanted to or getting up early and enjoying the cool and the quiet of the day since school was out for the summer. I also loved catching fireflies and putting them in jars! Thanks for the chance at another great giveaway!

During our childhood, me and my two sisters would often visit our Grandparents during the summer. After sending us out to play all day, my GrandPappy would come out on the back porch, open his refrigerator, pull out a glass jug full of cold ice water and call out, "cold, cold water.... cold, cold, water". We would all come running for a drink.

My favorite summer memory was when both of my parents saved up a 3 week vacation and we traveled cross country in our huge station wagon. Seeing so much that we had only read about - the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Disneyland, San Francisco, the Great Salt Lake, Yellowstone and a myriad of details in between - making snowballs on a mountain road in the middle of July; putting our feet into the Pacific for the first time; seeing a real buffalo!

my favorite memory is the excitement that we had of hearing the ice cream truck playing its music as it came down our street.

Going to Minnesota for a few weeks with my cousins and families. All playing together, fishing together, swimming together...the skies were SO blue! Miss those days!

My fave memory is of swimming in the pool all day and catching bugs. We'd keep them in a jar for a few hours, and then release them. It was a bit of a competition to see who could catch the weirdest one!

Being at the lake (make that in the lake) in Northern MN would be the highlight of any summer. We'd be outside from breakfast til dark, and in the water often throughout the day.

My favorite childhood memory is picking peas from our garden and eating them right away. The funny thing is...I hate peas. I have always hated peas. But the peas we grew in our garden were deliciously magical.

My favorite summer time memory was going with my grandparents to their summer cabin by a lake. It was a wonderful place with lots to do. My grandparents had a special way of sharing their love and knowledge. Both grandparents have passed a long time ago but I will always cherish the specials summers I spent with them.

for me, there's nothing that says "summer" like LONG, LONG days in the backyard pool. my grandparents had an inground pool (complete with diving board and slide) and i would spend hours upon hours upon hours in there. usually underwater. the best part about summer was swimming endlessly followed by wrapping up in a towel and eating popsicles until my lips turned blue from the cold!
